MNAA's workforce is comprised of three segments Administration, Operations & Maintenance, and Department of Public Safety offering a variety of internship opportunities in a unique and exciting environment.

Internship opportunities will be provided in the following areas:
Nashville International Airport's administrative team is responsible for the overall leadership, marketing and promotion, administration and business support functions for the airport. Departments within this team include: Finance, Business Development, Information Technology, Development and Engineering, Communications and Marketing, Customer Service, Strategic Planning, Legal Affairs, Procurement, Business Diversity Development, and Human Resources.
Operations & Maintenance:
The Operations & Maintenance team includes the departments of: Airport Operations, Facilities Maintenance, Environmental Compliance and Ground Transportation.
BNA's Maintenance department helps keep all of the facilities on our airport campus in great shape and is responsible for maintaining the entire airport terminal, grounds and other buildings including offices, hangars, etc. Team members include facilities managers, planners, electricians, equipment mechanics, equipment operators, HVAC mechanics, dispatchers, plumbers, welders, and more.
The Maintenance department has a mobile equipment team which is responsible for maintaining all vehicles and equipment associated with the airport, including administration vehicles, maintenance equipment, and all fire and rescue trucks and police vehicles. The team also manages snow removal and remains on site during inclement weather, working around-the-clock to keep the airport open to passengers and air traffic.
Department of Public Safety:
Nashville International Airport's Department of Public Safety is a dual-certified agency that provides full police services and aircraft fire rescue services. In addition to these services, the department also provides emergency medical services to airport visitors.
The Department of Public Safety also includes Airport Communications Technicians who staff BNA's Airport Communications Center (ACC), a state-of-the-art communications facility. The ACC is a 24/7 operation responsible for performing airport surveillance, monitoring access, and coordinating our community's requests for emergency and non-emergency services. Other responsibilities include dispatching aircraft rescue and firefighting, emergency units to an accident scene, communicating with emergency and law enforcement departments, and monitoring emergency and non-emergency communication systems.
