Job Summary:

Energy Recovery is a rapidly growing industrial technology leader with growth objectives beyond its core market of water desalination. As the Graphic Design Intern with Energy Recovery, you will support the Marketing department's goal of developing a new comprehensive Water Products catalog for usage in external Sales and Marketing channels across key industries. This role requires a dynamic individual who is ready to take on graphic design, promotional planning, and working with individuals across the product, sales, and marketing teams. This role will also involve support for ad hoc projects related to design, collateral development, and event management. The ideal candidate would have experience in graphic design and general business administration and would be interested in applying this experience on an international scale.

The part-time position of Graphic Design Intern is based in San Leandro, CA or Katy, TX. The position reports to the Manager, Marketing Communications and will work closely with all members of the Marketing teams as well as work cross-functionally with other departments as required. This role is hybrid work-from-home and work-in-office with two days per week minimum required in office.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of the new Water Products catalog, including graphic design, template layout, content layout,promotional planning, and ensuringall aspects of the project meet company brand standards

• Support in ad hoc design work for social ads, email campaigns, presentations, and other collateral

• Support Marketing Assistant in ad hoc event preparation tasks, including swag inventory assessments and event shipment setup

• Work independently and collaboratively within the marketing team and across departments to make sure projects are delivered on time and within budget

• Develop a good understanding of how a Marketing team operates at a medium-sized company

• All other duties as assigned

Skills & Requirements:

• Pursuing a bachelor's in marketing, business admin, journalism or Graphic Design. Minor in graphic design (Preferred)

• Curious, fast learning, and resourceful.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Skilled in graphic design.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Comfortable working across countries, cultures and time zones a must.

• Working towards, or recent completion of, a 4-year degree in graphic design, marketing, or related field required.

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.

$20 - $25 an hour

The below range is the range that we reasonably believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California. This range may be modified in the future. The salary range for this role is $20 to $25.
