Resp & Qualifications
Under the direction of the IT Division's Chief of Staff and Communications Consultant, this position will create and implement compelling communications projects, initiatives and activities that reinforce our core Divisional priorities and values among associates within the SBU, and to a broader network of CareFirst associates whose collaboration and support are central to ensuring attainment of goals.
The ideal candidate will have superior content creation, creative, analytical, and project management skills.
Will engage with the IT Division leadership, colleagues and business partners to develop and implement strategies delivering key messaging and reinforcing priorities, and core values across the division.
RESPONSIBILITES (3 Month Term?)
In conjunction with the Communications Consultant, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist in communication touchpoints between leaders and colleagues throughout the division that support our IT divisional transformation story and strategic plan
Content Creation: including overseeing content (articles and photos) for divisional communication channels
Manage: current communication channels for internal audiences (both divisional and organization-wide), including Sharepoint, email, podcasts, webinars, presentations, talking points
Brainstorm and pitch new ideas for content, engagement, recognition, achievements and successes
Develop messaging and strategies that support the overall communications and projects in a compelling way
3.0 GPA or above
Current enrollment at an accredited University/College as a Junior or above pursuing an Undergraduate degree or a Master's degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, or a Related Major.
Superb written and oral communications, inclusive of: ability to write with varying tone; ability to translate technical jargon into compelling copy; excellent proofreading and editing skills, and a passion for creating engaging and relevant web and print content.
Video or audio producing experience is also preferred
A keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage a variety of tasks simultaneously; under often tight deadlines.
Must be professional, organized, enthusiastic and a team player who can work independently.
