Position Description

This position will be responsible for assisting with the testing of controls across various business areas in support of the completion of Capital's regulatory requirements. This part-time internship will run from August 2024 through December 2024. This position is a hybrid role so you must live within a 50 mile radius of Harrisburg, PA

Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • Ability to read, understand, and update process documentation

  • Complete control testing steps as outlined in lead sheet

  • Prepare working papers consistent with standardized tickmark and documentation guidelines, in accordance with Capital Blue Cross audit department policies and procedures.

  • Work independently or as part of a team to achieve testing objectives

  • Identify discrepancies that may result in deviations or exceptions

  • Utilize audit management application to document work completed and maintain timesheet

  • Communicate effectively with manager, internal audit team members and business personnel

  • Willingness to accept feedback to ensure completeness and consistency of workpapers

  • Ability to work at a computer workstation for up to 7.5 hours per day

Position Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate level program in one of the following majors: Accounting, Business Administration, Communications, Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, or a related field of study.

  • Preferred GPA of 3.2 or higher (based on a 4.0 scale or equivalent thereof)

  • Ability to commit full-time to an 11-13-week program that runs May 20 - August 16

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment and handle multiple tasks.

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to commit to an onsite or hybrid work schedule.

Location:

  • This position is classified hybrid, which requires onsite work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
