Intern- Integrated Circuit Design, Engineering And Technology

This a great opportunity to be a part of the Integrated Circuit Design and Technology team at Coherent!

Responsibilities include transistor-level analog/RF circuit design, simulation, and optimization. Layout analysis and optimization will also be performed. Work will be done under the guidance of experienced IC design engineers. Part-time internship will begin in May, running through the summer term.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare block-level specifications based on product/customer requirements.

• Develop block-level architecture and carry out necessary analysis/checks during feasibility study.

• Schematic design and simulation of block-level circuits to verify parameters across process, voltage, temperature and local mismatch.

• Layout, layout review, parasitic extraction and optimization of block-level cells.

• Integrate block-level cells into top-level product.

• Document designs; communicate design specifications with design team and customers.

Education & Experience

• Prefer current MS or PhD student working toward a degree in electrical engineering.

• Relevant work and/or research is preferred in the areas of analog, RF, and microwave integrated circuit design.

• Minimum GPA (graduate school): 3.4/4.0
