RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Support injection molding process control and capability using scientific molding principles.
2.Support implementation of RJG Scientific/Decoupled Molding processes.
3.Assist with molding improvements to include cycle time efficiencies, cavitation, scrap reduction, and establishment of optimal processing parameters.
4.Provide technical support for new tooling qualifications and process capability studies.
5.Support process improvement, cost reduction, and corrective action teams.
6.Provide technical support for daily processing activities.
7.Assist in the set-up, repair, and troubleshooting of Injection Molding equipment.
8.Support Company Safety, Quality, and Productivity goals
9.Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1.2+ years of college coursework in Engineering or Plastics Technology or a combination of technical college coursework and 3+ years of injection molding processing experience
2.Knowledge and application of scientific molding principals.
3.Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
4.Knowledge of automation, robots, and vision systems.
5.Excellent communication skills and demonstrated leadership ability.
6.Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced production environment.
7.Capable of physical mobility including walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling and lifting (up to 50 pounds periodically).
8.Capable of visual acuity to include distinguishing color variation and detecting defects.
9.Able to work safely in a production environment around moving mechanical parts, recognizing various sounds and alarms.

This position focuses on Microelectronics Assembly and Packaging. The Manufacturing Process Engineer responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the tasks outlined below: Process Development * Developing new and maintaining or improving existing manufacturing processes with a focus on affordability * Creating and managing to project plans (tasks, resources, schedules) for process development activities * Providing ROI justification for process improvements * Specifying, identifying and procuring new manufacturing equipment for production readiness and preparing equipment for production * Developing and optimizing process parameters * Developing/revising process documentation and work instructions * Assisting with design of custom tooling Factory Support * Monitoring process yields, cost, and process stability and capability * Recommending and implementing quality improvements based on the above metrics * Creating, validating and maintaining automatic equipment programs * Solving of manufacturing problems (related to materials, designs, equipment, people) in a timely manner * Assisting with the training of new personnel and participating in the design of operator training materials * Supporting factory maintenance personnel with the troubleshooting and repair of process equipment Design Support * Recommending product design improvements required to produce advanced microelectronics products * Documenting state-of-the-art process capabilities and guidelines for product designers * Participating in design producibility reviews for new products The chosen candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; be able to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic, and high visibility environment; and work well as part of a team. This req may be filled as a level 2 or a level 3 based on the qualifications below. MANUMS Basic Qualifications for a level 2: * Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Engineering or related STEM area * 2 years of relevant professional experience (or 0 years with an MS) * Process Engineering experience * Familiarity with Design of Experiment (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC), 6 sigma concepts for process development, and control * Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) * Fluency in MS Office software applications * Ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship is required.) Basic Qualifications for a level 3: * Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Engineering or related STEM area * 5 years of relevant professional experience (or 3 years with an MS) * Process Engineering experience * Familiarity with Design of Experiment (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC), 6 sigma concepts for process development, and control * Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) * Fluency in MS Office software applications * Ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship is required.)
