• Proficient with Microsoft Office (O365) products e.g., Word, Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.

• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or compensating military experience, along with excellent proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal.

• Gain in-depth knowledge of Information Security and Technology at Avanade

• Collaborate with portfolio leads and various stakeholders to support ongoing security initiatives, solutions, and projects.

• Work on diverse areas, including Endpoint Security, Cloud Security, Identity Protection, Information Protection, Project Delivery, Service Management, and Reporting

• Utilize and explore the latest Microsoft Security and Productivity solutions.

• Engage with technologies such as Microsoft 365 Defender, Microsoft Information Protection, Windows 11 Security, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, DEVOPS, and Power BI

• Assist with document creation and updating of processes, procedures, and guidelines.

For pay transparency in Washington, our interns are paid $25 an hour.

• Existing DEVOPS skills (or willing to learn), understanding of project sprint planning and delivery.

• Existing Power BI skills (or willing to learn), including report design, connecting to data sources, importing, and transforming data, and knowledge of DAX, a plus.

• Understanding or experience of traditional security controls and technologies, such as Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems.

• Understanding of Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR)

• Understanding of cloud computing technologies, including SaaS/PaaS/IaaS as well as public, private and hybrid environments

• Understanding of Cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO, etc.
