Infoscitex, a DCS company, is seeking an Intern Full Stack Software Engineer to support extensive high visibility research and development efforts for next generation sensor data collection management tools. As this Engineer, you will support collection management system development and human interface technology research in Dayton, OH. This role will provide opportunities for full-stack software development in support of multi-domain sensor data collection management research studies and prototype application development.
Essential Job Functions:
In this role, you could expect to:
Collaborate with research leads to understand study requirements and identify relevant tasking.
Collaborate with subject matter experts, such as collection managers and technologists, to identify requirements for system implementation.
Coordinate with team members to develop software in support of the execution of research studies, streamlining analyses, development of prototype applications, and the collection of metrics and measures.
Apply best coding practices and standards and participate in periodic software planning and review meetings.
Some intermittent short-term travel may also be requested to support demonstrations and facilitate research studies.
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
At least partial completion of a BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline; and some related software development experience. (We have multiple levels associated with this opportunity. Candidates with varied experience or advanced degrees may be considered for alternative classification.)

DoD Secret security clearance.
Experience with object oriented coding practices.
Ability to develop prototype and interface applications to facilitate research studies, or demonstrate concepts and capabilities.
Ability to develop user interfaces and frontend web development.
Familiarity with databases and DB usage practices.
Comfortable developing backend software to communicate information between user interfaces, databases, and third party algorithms supporting research and analysis.
Excellent written and verbal English communications skills.
Ability to work with engagement, mission, or campaign level computer simulation environments.
Ability to work well in team environments.
Ability to travel intermittently, if requested.
While not firm requirements for consideration, we feel an ideal candidate may also bring the following attributes:
Experience with Modeling & Simulation (M&S) environments (constructive and virtual), as well as Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) concepts.
Experience with distributed simulation environments or synthetic data generation technologies.
Experience with AFSIM (Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling) software and tools.
Familiarity with the intelligence collection management process.
Familiarity with human interface research and technologies.
DOD security clearance.
