Responsibilities

We are seeking enthusiastic college students who are eager to engage in front end and/or back end software development projects at UL's Fremont campus.

Minimum Requirements and Experience:

Front End Development

  • Currently pursuing a higher/college degree

  • If available, please include a link in your resume to your online repository such as GitHub

  • Front end design/development focused but could include exposure to back end development (NodeJS)

  • Language and OS:

  • MEAN/MERN

  • React/Redux, JavaScript, HTML, CSS

  • Windows 7/10, Linux/UNIX

Back End Development

  • Currently pursuing a higher/college degree

  • If available, please include a link in your resume to your online repository such as GitHub

  • Back end design/development focused but could include exposure to front end development (MEAN/MERN)

  • Language and OS:

  • Non-relational database (MongoDB)

  • Node Stack and design (NodeJS)

  • Windows 7/10, Linux/UNIX

Qualifications

If you are:

  • An incoming freshman or higher level college student studying any field

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Able to maintain strict customer and product confidentiality

VIEW JOBS 10/13/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-11T00:00 Role The Software Engineer in Test will build the automation framework, automation tools, and develop automation scripts for validating Tesla's current and next generation manufacturing system. The candidate should have a passion for developing world class automation scripts in an Agile environment. The candidate will work alongside developers and create automation scripts in parallel as the feature is being developed. You will build functional automation scripts, both UI & API, to integrate with our CI/CD pipeline. We use open source tools, like Selenium, for building the automation regression suite and these will be executed for every release. Responsibilities * Develop Automated Test Suites * Work independently against aggressive deadlines * Verify the quality of data using automated scripts * Log, manage, and retest defects in bug tracking system * Report testing status, milestones and issues to project stakeholders * Keen attention to detail and be exceptionally good at identifying inconsistencies and flaws * Support off-hours launches and monitoring of systems with IT teams, as needed * Update and use Confluence page extensively for open knowledge-sharing Requirements * BS/MS in Computer Science or related field * Solid programming experience using one or more of the languages: Java, JavaScript/Type Script * Strong Understanding of REST and demonstrated experience with web services APIs testing/automation * Strong experience in using open source tools like Git, stash and Jenkins * Knowledge in one or more automation tools (Selenium Webdriver / Appium or WebdriverJS) * Proficient in designing/creating Automation Frameworks * Developing Test Automation Framework Protractor, BDD (e.g Cucumber, Jasmine), JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular JS * Experience in Continuous Integration (e.g., Jenkins) or Delivery * Good knowledge of unit testing using tools like TestNG, Junit * Clear understanding of the product development cycle, technical requirements and project management * Strong understanding of concepts related to computer architecture, data structures and programming practices * Strong knowledge in SQL and back end concepts * Evidence of exceptional ability Tesla Motors Fremont CA
