Description
Job Summary: Work closely with the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Team to conduct facility inspections and audits.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Recognizes and records health, safety, and environmental hazards at all facilities.
Coordinates training for environmental, health, and safety programs and accident prevention.
Assists the EHS team in documenting safety training courses, meetings, and safety plans.
Organizes and distributes Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for chemical safety and communications.
Inspects equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions.
Reports on safety and health awareness, issues, and statistics.
Embodies the EHS team vision for engagement of a corporate safety culture, which strives to educate, inform, and collaborate with all levels of the organization.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
Completed 2nd year of 4-year bachelor's degree in Environment, Health and Safety required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Organizational skills and understanding of methods for streamlining and automating repetitive functions are a plus.
Ability to respond to time-sensitive issues with quick turnaround.
Ability to speak to a small to medium-sized group of employees a plus.
Work Environment and Essential Physical Functions:
Essential Physical Functions:
Extended periods of sitting required.
Occasional bending, stooping, or standing.
Walking up to 2 miles in production facility
Lifting up to 50 lbs.
Ability to climb up and down a ladder or using steps required.
