Summer 2019 Internship - Seeking an individual either:
Within a Proto "research & development" environment at HP Inc in Corvallis, Oregon, this candidate will be responsible for learning high level fundamentals of performing general and specific administrative support tasks and business processes involved in an Engineering Coordinator position within a Proto manufacturing environment.
This Internship role will span end to end Proto manufacturing (cleanroom fab, labs, and intermediate assembly), driving efficiencies to the current state of the many business aspects and logistics with how materials and product flows through the factory. This includes driving efficiencies in the scheduling, task request, materials availability, prioritization, handoffs, and communications of non-standard Prototype builds. The role requires partnering with many engineering resources, operations specialists, inventory & supply chain, planning, project managers, and the management team to deliver on the project.
This position requires judgment, being self-driven, demonstrating systems thinking, and the ability to work in a vague or un-structured work environment. Looking for opportunities to observe and have an eye for seeing efficiency improvement needs or opportunities within the end to end system will be encouraged. A project will be assigned for the Intern to complete and present results toward the end of the summer internship.
Education and Experience Required:
First year of College/ University completed -typically a non- technical degree specialization OR Third year of College/University completed - typically a non- technical degree specialization.
