As a DRAM Engineering Group Industrial Engineer Intern you will get a unique Intern experience. As we are focused on all DRAM (Compute, Mobile, Graphics, Emerging and Embedded) Product Engineering support throughout the Product Lifecycle. During the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase we are responsible for aggregating internal Product Engineering demand and providing a forecast for development. You will work with a team of brilliant Engineers, cross-functional Planners and Program Managers to solve complex problems.

As an Intern you will take lead on a project(s) that supports our team's essential intent. You have the opportunity to provide innovative solutions for improving our current processes and/or developing automated and sustainable solutions for measuring our team's work. You will work closely with a Mentor and work in a cross-functional team dynamic. Key functions our team supports include projecting Operating Expenditures (OpEx), cost strategy, early product life-cycle demand modelling, lead Development Chip and Sustaining Products; Product Development Team (PDT). Additional functions include collaboration with cross functional teams in support of product development demand, enabling new product flows and manufacturing exceptions, and assisting with data attribute analysis.

Education

  • Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.

  • Pursuing M.S. degree in Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in Boise, Idaho

  • Prefer experience with using metrics and process analysis techniques to measure work

  • Strong communication skills

  • The ability to work in a very fast paced environment and adapt to daily changes

  • Ability to work with a variety of cultures and with cross-functional teams.

  • Availability to attend evening meetings as needed

  • The drive to investigate root cause and provide corrective action for system inefficiencies

  • Proficient Excel spreadsheet skills and prefer Tableau experience

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple projects

As a Senior DRAM Product Engineer for the DRAM Product team group, you will develop each next generation DRAM memory DDR4/DDR5 as it transitions from the design stage to mass production. Product Engineers are the key interface between Design, Process Technology Development, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Quality Assurance departments. This is essential to Micron as it serves the company's charter to be the most efficient and innovative producer of DRAM memory Responsibilities and Tasks include the following, but not limited to: * Debug and identify root cause and failures in design and process issues * Utilize simulation and bench work to debug problems * Analyze probe and backend test data * Bench debug including electrical failure analysis * Develop methodologies for testing, debugging, and qualification * Feedback to technology driving teams design, Process Technology, or other functional areas * Lead small to medium sized teams * Mentor other engineers Preferred Skills: * A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering * 5+ years of semiconductor industry experience * Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills * Excellent Communication, presentation, and leadership skills * Ability to delegate tasks and set priorities in a team environment * Ability to work in diverse and collaborative team environment * Strong interpersonal skills with ability to convey complex technical concepts to peers and management * CMOS process and DRAM knowledge is a plus * General programming knowledge About Us As the leader in innovative memory solutions, Micron is helping the world make sense of data by delivering technology that is transforming how the world uses information.
