Position Summary:

  • The summer intern will perform laboratory and literary research to pursue small molecule drug discovery targets for neuropsychiatric central nervous system conditions. Primary duties will include enzymatic assays, cell culture of primary cells and immortalized cell lines, use of automated liquid handlers, and preparation of buffers and reagents. The intern will contribute to existing and exploratory programs.


  • Laboratory research- 50%
  • Data analysis- 25%
  • Literature search- 25%


  • The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong work ethic, ability to learn quickly, and an interest in central nervous system research. Primary duties will include running established assays to determine activity of small molecule compounds, analyze resulting data, and share it with project team members.

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of second year of college
