VIEW JOBS 2/20/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-20T00:00 The Experian Summer Internship Program is a unique opportunity to apply your knowledge and experience in a fast-paced, innovative company. As an Experian intern, you will work on challenging assignments with a clear understanding of your contribution to our organization, all while working with the latest technology and tools. Our program includes weekly "intern-only" events including meeting executive leaders, career development workshops, and opportunities to network with your 100 fellow interns. Our internship program consists of two cohorts. Cohort 1 runs May 18 – Aug 14, and Cohort 2 runs June 15 – Sept 18. We accept over 100 interns across all major office locations in the US. To be eligible, you must be pursuing a four-year degree and able to start with one of the cohorts. What you'll need to bring to the party Do you dream of a career thinking up smart, funny ideas for TV ads, videos and social posts? Of working on ad campaigns with celebrities like John Cena and a bunch of purple spotted cows? Of drinking scotch and smoking cigarettes at your desk, changing your identity and then disappearing for weeks at a time? (Just kidding, that last one was an episode of Mad Men. We don't actually do that.) Well, if any of the above sounds familiar and/or appealing, then you are dreaming of a career as an advertising creative. And, if that's the case, today's your lucky day: The Cooler, the award-winning in-house ad agency for Experian, is looking for a creative intern. Here's what you'll need: creativity, a passion for the advertising industry and a demonstrated interest in pursuing a career as either a writer or art director. Aspiring writers, it'd be helpful if you had something of a creative writing background and aspiring art directors, you'll need to be pretty slick with the Adobe Suite. And, either way, organizational skills, a self-starter mentality and the ability to see a project through to the end will be key. What you'll be doing Broadly speaking, you, intern at The Cooler, will receive firsthand knowledge of how an ad agency operates and also get hands-on experience working on real campaigns, both valuable assets towards a career in advertising and marketing. Specifically, you will: 1. Produce creative work – you'll learn about and participate in the creative development process from brainstorm to pitch to execution. By the end of your term at the Cooler, you'll have the opportunity to potentially produce campaign work for Experian (that could be social posts, for instance, but possibly even more). Produced work will be extremely helpful for pursuing a career in advertising, so that's a big plus. 2. Get big campaign experience – this could be your chance to help out with our ongoing John Cena Boost campaign, a large-scale broadcast and digital effort running throughout 2020. This will help you learn about all the facets of a major year-long campaign and teach you how effective advertising continues to generate public interest in multiple mediums long after the initial kick-off. Additionally, this will give you the opportunity to name drop John Cena to your friends and also give you something to talk about should you ever run into him at a coffee shop or exclusive Hollywood Hills black-tie soiree. Hey, you never know. 3. Manage a project – in addition to the creative side of things, you'll learn about account services, project management and production and could ultimately be responsible for overseeing a project from brief to delivery. More about you * Current undergraduate with Junior or Senior-level standing * Social Sciences, English, Business, Marketing or related majors preferred * Familiarity with Adobe Suite * Creative and collaborative spirit, positive attitude and eager to learn * Nice to have: Experience with creative writing, advertising, design. Why interns are critical to our success * Our business only thrives if we're constantly innovating new and better ways of doing things. We look to interns to keep us up-to-date on industry trends and new ways of working. * Interns are critical to our early career talent strategy. We think of our internship program as an extra-long interview process. We are selective, because we know we are hiring future Experian employees! * Many interns pick up projects that teams would normally need extra hands to complete. Interns play a critical role in closing the loop on long standing projects or starting something smaller with a big impact! EOE including Disability/Veterans Experian Costa Mesa CA
