Job Description: We're currently seeking highly motivated and energetic business students to join our team as interns in our Corporate Resource Units.

An internship at Arconic allows students to be a part of dynamic and innovative projects, while providing ample mentoring and professional development opportunities. Working alongside business leaders, our Corporate interns have the opportunity to sharpen their skills through hands-on learning. An internship with our Corporate team will provide you with invaluable experience that you could utilize in any role, and it is Arconic's goal to evaluate its interns for potential entry-level openings. With over 60 locations across the US, there are opportunities to work in a variety of places around the country.

The Digital Communications intern will support the Digital Comms team on various social media and website projects. Tasks will include creating and distributing content across social media platforms, tracking metrics like engagement and reach, and managing necessary approval processes.

The incumbent will also be responsible for researching and creating on-brand posts and event-driven campaigns, collaborating with resources across our global locations. There will also be opportunities to work with the larger Communications team on bringing Arconic success stories to life, and how to deliver that message in creative ways to target audiences.


Basic Qualifications:

  • 3.0 GPA and above

  • Must be involved in at least 1 extracurricular activity.

  • Prior work experience.

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Marketing, Communications, Visual Arts, Advertising, or Public Relations with an expected graduation date of August 2019, December 2019, or April/May/June 2020

  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

VIEW JOBS 11/29/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-27T00:00 POSITION SUMMARY: The Corporate Communications Intern provides support to the Corporate Communications team by assisting with the creation of content and support of events for internal and external stakeholders RESPONSIBILITIES: * Write, proofread, and provide input for a variety of communication formats, including but not limited to intranet content, email communications, and digital signage * Provide integral event support in planning internal business meetings and events * Assist with media briefings, proofreading, and editing of external communications and releases * Maintain the internal communications calendar and message archive * Edit photos and videos for intranet content and digital signage * Create layouts and designs for intranet content, printed and digital signage * Source internal storytelling opportunities and lead the work to completion * Support ongoing updates to intranet and external corporate website * Provide overall administrative support in helping the department operate as efficiently and effectively as possible QUALIFICATIONS: * Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master's Degree program in communications, public relations, journalism, or related field * Must be able to commit 15-20 hours per week during the spring semester and approximately 40 hours per week beginning June 3. * Prior internship experience in corporate environment and event planning a plus * Interest in a career in Corporate Communications * Ability to write accurate, compelling and impactful copy to communicate with clarity and effectiveness for a variety of communication formats * Ability to learn from feedback and adjust writing style as necessary * Superior attention to detail and highly organized * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Adept at problem-solving and thinking quickly in a fast-paced environment * Excellent interpersonal skills and comfortable engaging with internal and external stakeholders * Dynamic, self-starter who can lead a project from start to finish * Graphic design capabilities with working knowledge of the Adobe Creative suite * Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) American Eagle Outfitters is an Equal Opportunity Employer American Eagle Pittsburgh PA
