Description

Job Summary: Support manufacturing engineers in developing production solutions and maintaining documentation to meet team goals.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists in manufacturing engineering tasks like fixture design, cost reduction, and quality control, with support and direction.

  • Conducts process capability studies for various manufacturing processes with guidance.

  • Contributes to projects related to 6S, equipment, and production line flow under supervision.

  • Updates and enhances plant layout drawings with guidance and assistance.

  • Performs other assigned duties under the mentorship of the manufacturing engineer.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

Intern must be currently enrolled in an accredited engineering program.

Minimum of 4 semesters of manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering preferred.

Experience with CAD software, AutoCAD, or Solid Edge is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Communicates effectively in written and spoken form.

  • Possesses excellent interpersonal relationship skills.

  • Exhibits good decision making and analytical problem-solving abilities.

  • Demonstrates strong multi-tasking capabilities and organizational skills.

  • Works effectively in a team environment.

Work Environment:

  • Periodic visits to the manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.
