AngioDynamics provides benefits to patients by being the leader in design, development, manufacturing and marketing of innovative, proprietary, therapeutic devices used by interventionalists and surgeons for the minimally invasive treatment of peripheral vascular disease, tumor therapy and other, non-vascular diseases. Our summer internship program will give interns a project based learning experience that will strive to build your understanding of how a medical device business operates, enhance your skillset and grow your network. This internship will provide practical, professional experience for the college student while contributing to the overall goals of the Business Development team.

The Business Development Intern will assist the business development group evaluate and execute mergers & acquisitions, licensing transactions, R&D projects, and strategic planning processes among others. The intern will be tasked with a range of analytical and project management assignments. The intern will assume a primary role in projects working either independently or as part of a team, as well as perform other activities that will support the overall objectives of the area they are assigned to.

  • Perform due diligence on potential business targets

  • Conduct financial modeling and analysis

  • Conduct competitor analysis

  • Track maintenance of business development pipeline

  • Create one central location for all of our market data in a convenient segmented format

  • Assist with the market assessment of the three strategic focus areas: Oncology, Thrombus and PAD

  • Developing presentations for senior management

  • Support the strategic planning process deliverables

  • Work on projects that will help develop analytical, audit, research, testing and validation skills.

  • Attend and participate in department meetings.

  • Develop and maintain documentation and forms.

  • Use Excel, Word, Project Management, or Visio to create correspondence, spreadsheets, forms, graphs, flowcharts, etc.

  • Provide customer service to the department's internal and external customers.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant quality and regulatory/legal requirements.

  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Public Sector (SLED) Business Development Executive (NorthEast/MidAtlantic)- 72330 AMD is currently looking for a talented Business Development manager to support our Public Sector end user, channel partner and OEM relationships with organizations such as State and Local Government agencies, Higher Education institutions and K-12 School districts. In this highly visible role you will formulate your own business strategies, manage your own relationships and develop “Go to Market” strategies to drive sales of AMD client, server and graphic products. RESPONSIBILITIES Develop Public Sector end user relationships by representing AMD through direct end user engagement Drive sales through account penetration, account planning and opportunity management with OEM and Reseller partners. Leverage Business Development skills to increase Awareness Acceptance and Adoption at Public Sector accounts. Assist in OEM and Partner Bid responses and setting of specifications Help train OEM and Partner sales teams on messaging and value propositions Consistently achieving assigned sales and share quotas per quarter per year. Developing a solid pipeline of incremental volume deals with your target accounts. Developing internal and external relationships within AMD and Industry to help achieve goals and quotas. Base of operations will be Pacific or Mountain time zone. Target markets to focus on: State and Local Government, Higher Education and K-12. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE 5 to 10 years of Sales and or Sales support experience in Public Sector sales. Demonstration of increased responsibility and or growth preferred Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal). Business development/ sales experience preferably with acquisition contracts and programs. Experience working with Public Sector OEM and channel partners executing “go to market” strategies. Hunter mentality creating own leads and pipeline within targeted segment and territory. Strong business and executive presence. Analytical minded with the ability to look at data for forecasting, trending, and market strategies. Up to 50% travel required at times for this role regionally. Able to work independently with a proven track record of performance working remotely.
