Our summer internship program will give interns a project based learning experience that will strive to build your understanding of how a medical device business operates, enhance your skillset and grow your network. This internship will provide practical, professional experience for the college student while contributing to the overall goals of the Business Development team.
The Business Development Intern will assist the business development group evaluate and execute mergers & acquisitions, licensing transactions, R&D projects, and strategic planning processes among others. The intern will be tasked with a range of analytical and project management assignments. The intern will assume a primary role in projects working either independently or as part of a team, as well as perform other activities that will support the overall objectives of the area they are assigned to.
Perform due diligence on potential business targets
Conduct financial modeling and analysis
Conduct competitor analysis
Track maintenance of business development pipeline
Create one central location for all of our market data in a convenient segmented format
Assist with the market assessment of the three strategic focus areas: Oncology, Thrombus and PAD
Developing presentations for senior management
Support the strategic planning process deliverables
Work on projects that will help develop analytical, audit, research, testing and validation skills.
Attend and participate in department meetings.
Develop and maintain documentation and forms.
Use Excel, Word, Project Management, or Visio to create correspondence, spreadsheets, forms, graphs, flowcharts, etc.
Provide customer service to the department's internal and external customers.
Ensure compliance with all relevant quality and regulatory/legal requirements.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
