Job Description:

To provide practical, professional experience for the college student while contributing to the overall goals of their designated department. The intern will assume a primary role in projects working either independently or as part of a team, as well as perform other activities that will support the over all objectives of the area they are assigned to.

The Brand Marketing intern will assume a primary role in internal marketing projects including the development of compliant materials - internal communications, email marketing, and social media strategy concepts- working either independently or as part of a team.

  • Work on projects that will help develop analytical, audit, research, testing and validation skills.

  • Attend and participate in department meetings.

  • Develop and maintain documentation and forms.

  • Use Excel, Word, Project Management, or Visio to create correspondence, spreadsheets, forms, graphs, flowcharts, etc.

  • Provide customer service to the department's internal and external customers.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant quality and regulatory/legal requirements.

  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

ABB is seeking a North America NAM Vice President Marketing & Sales Manager. This role is responsible to define and implement growth sales mission, vision and strategy for the Hub Business Line (HBL) with special focus on growing and developing the white spots (Markets/Customers/Segments) in line with Business Line (BL) strategy. Ensure that the Hub Business Line (HBL) substantially increases sales, profitability, hit rate, and market share and customer satisfaction. Defining and continuously maintaining paramount market intelligence from a market, customer and competitor view for all markets within the HBL. Pro-actively lead, directly and indirectly, the sales teams focused on developing the markets and customers and achieving results. (All in line with the BL/Power Grid (PG) Sales & Marketing strategy and in cooperation with our World Class Front End (WCFE) sales.). Your responsibilities Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: Sales & Marketing Strategy: * Responsible for identifying, assessing and creating market and growth plans for all areas in the HBU and particular for the growth areas/white spots. * Drives and follow up on BL/PG strategic initiatives especially the Strategic Growth initiatives. * Set up, drive and develop an optimized HBL sales organization structure. Sales Objectives / targets: * Responsible for achieving assigned demand and supply order targets. * Responsible for achieving assigned portfolio and market mix targets. * Implement and follow up on market plans for all areas in the HBL. * Establishes sales targets and ensures sales achievement through regular oversight and definition and implementation of improvement plans as needed. * Proactively anticipate results and identifies gaps in order to take early remedial action and ensure the target achievement. Customer Acquisition and relations: * Identify and develop opportunities at existing and potential new customers. * Develop and implement a general account plan for the HUB as well as develop specific account management plans for selected accounts in coordination with the WCFE. * Build and develop strong relationships with customers. * Responsible for follow up, analyzing and acting on the results of customer satisfaction in order to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Marketing activities: * Create, cautiously update and communicate updated, qualitative market and competitive analysis. * Define and implement market activities such as strategic campaigns. * Define and follow up on the overall marcom activities in the HBL e.g. events. Your background Basic Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Engineering or Business 15 plus years of sales and marketing experience in Power and related industries. Preferred Qualifications: * MBA * Managing virtual teams, North American customer experience is necessary. * Strong network of customers within utility, O&G, infrastructure segments. * Software selling, network controls, battery storage, and related segments * Customer and business oriented, strong commercial and communication skills, and leading virtual teams. * Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
