Overview
2019 Software Development Summer Intern:

To be considered for the program, you must meet all of the following qualification:

  • You must have completed your freshman, sophomore, or junior year by June at an accredited college or university with plans to return to school in the following term. Students who have graduated from an undergranduate or advanced degree program are not eligible

  • Have a grade point average of 3.0 or better (on a 4.0 scale)

  • Be eligible to work in the United States

  • Be willing to make a full-time commitment of 40 hours a week for 10 weeks mid-June to late August 2019

Software Engineer partiticipating in new product development. A micro team will be assembled, consisting of the interns, a senior software engineer and another software engineer. The team will focus on a defined number of features that will build out the remaining rules and configuration editor. These features will be determined just in time, and a 10 week planned outlined prior the start of their engagement.

We our currently:

Moving from Azure to AWS cloud platforms

Developing Angular front end components

Scalable backend services

Currently working in a DotNet Environment, and may be moving to a Linux enviroment

Responsibilities

Develop state of the art software in a small team environment

Follow defined software standards

The ability to learn and research with the help from our team

Work well and diligently with teammates and senior developers to meet timelines with quality

Quickly discover and understanding requirements

Qualifications

  • A strong team player always seeking out the best practices and methods to deliver quality products.

  • A keen desire to collaborate with strong communication skills

  • An elimintary understanding of the Agile framework.

  • Object oriented development skills to create software in Node.JS, Python, C#, Angular 2 as well as other languages

  • The ability to create unit test and do manual testing

  • Ability to develop microservice, APIs, in a cloud (Azure/AWS) environment.

  • Understanding of SDLC from conception to delivery

  • An ability to communicate ideas and listen to others (visibility, transparency and communication skills)
