Position Description
Three (3) District Wide Psychologist Intern positions
This position works in cooperation with and under the supervision of a licensed School Psychologist in completing university program requirements to provide training that includes a comprehensive, integrated experience that aligns with the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP). School Psychologist Interns will build their knowledge in data-based decision making and accountability, collaboration, and programming & interventions in both academic and social skills using an equity lens. Interns will have the opportunity to work within a multi-tiered system of support. Under the supervision of a licensed School Psychologist, interns will practice conducting comprehensive evaluations. They will also learn how to develop programs for students with social emotional needs, including functional behavior assessments, developing strategies to teach and respond to behavior, train & coach staff, and use data to evaluate effectiveness.
QUALIFICATIONS - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Enrolled in an accredited Master's degree or higher School Psychologist program.
Enrolled in an internship class with a University Program Advisor.
Demonstrated successful course completion in cognitive, behavioral, and academic testing and related skills.
Conduct individual evaluations in cognitive, behavioral, and academic areas as well as other areas that may be assigned.
Complete an academic intervention, a behavior intervention, counseling services both group and individual, provide a sample of written reports, and complete an assessment with an ML student
Work collaboratively with the assigned intern supervisor to provide comprehensive written reports of observations, assessment results, and recommendations.
Provide a variety of consultation and advice on issues such as behavior management, social skills and a wide variety of other matters to assist students in improving behavior to benefit the child's education.
Assist with/coordinates efforts for consistent behavior and environment for the child.
Observe and participate in MTSS team meetings at all three levels: Tier I, Tier II and Tier III.
Maintain regular attendance at work. Be punctual in meeting deadlines, attending meetings and following schedules.
Maintain a variety of program records, files and documents according to program standards and established guidelines.
Practice within the code of ethics for school psychologists.
Other Duties may be assigned.
Other possible Supplemental contracts for classified employees whose base contract is less than 8 hours per day:
Before or after school bus duty/supervision - $21.03/hr -$28.15/hr
BEA Base Time - $21.03/hr -$28.15/hr

Benefits
Newly hired employees who are anticipated to work at least 630 hours in a school year (Sept 1 - Aug 31) will be eligible for SEBB benefits, including medical, dental, vision, retirement, life and long term disability.
Every employee will receive two (2) personal days per year unless hired after Semester 1; then it will be prorated to one (1) personal day for the first year.
Every employee will receive one (1) sick day per month, in direct ratio to hours worked, once five (5) days are worked in the month.
Parental and Bereavement leave is also available.
Other possible supplemental contracts - cell phone and travel.
Every 12 month employee will receive vacation time off.
Every 10 to 11 month employee will receive a vacation credit.
