The recruiting intern is responsible for interviewing, testing and referring applicants for clerical, technical, and manufacturing positions. This position must possess considerable skill in interviewing techniques, a good knowledge of all clerical and specialized functions in the company, a basic understanding of the company's organizational structure as well as knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.

  • Processes job requisitions using the Taleo applicant tracking platform.

  • Coordinates with hiring manager(s) to determine best recruiting process for position(s).

  • Acts as liaison with area employment agencies and advertising agencies.

  • Screens and interviews applicants.

  • Coordinates appropriate employment testing.

  • Conducts employment verifications.

  • Extends verbal and written contingent job offers.

  • Coordinates background checks and new-hire drug testing.

  • Maintains employee referral program.

  • Conducts orientation of new employees.

  • Follows up with the related clerical aspects of employment, such as completing of health, employment and insurance forms, notifying the department of employee's starting date and the requisition the employee is filling, etc.

  • Completes weekly report on employment activity.

  • 1-2 years of relevant recruiting experience.

  • Prior experience with Taleo applicant tracking software, or similar system preferred.

  • Prior recruiting experience in a high-volume or manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree, preferably in human resources, or current enrollment in a degree granting program.

VIEW JOBS 3/20/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-18T00:00 <p><strong>Principal Function: </strong>The HR Generalist (<em>official title: </em><em>Contractor Relations Advisor</em>) is responsible for overseeing the independent contractor (driver) lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, development, retention, and separation.</p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to:</strong></p><ul> <li>Leads recruiting activities, including researching and sourcing candidates, interviewing and evaluating candidate fit, and facilitating the contracting process.</li> <li>Partners with managers to gain thorough understanding of contracting needs.</li> <li>Assists in developing and maintaining contractor policies, procedures, and other related materials.</li> <li>Assists internal departments with understanding contractor strategy, processes, and goals.</li> <li>Serves as first point of contact for contractor questions or issues; responds appropriately to resolve issues.</li> <li>Manages and assists with settlement processing, including entering deductions and reviewing for accuracy.</li> <li>Utilizes creative sourcing techniques and manages multiple sourcing relationships.</li> <li>Analyzes trends and metrics to develop or recommend solutions, programs, or policies.</li> <li>Plans and executes development processes for contractors as it relates to customer and company expectations. </li> <li>Assists with compliance-related tasks, ensuring compliance with state and federal-level regulation.</li> <li>Oversees review of contractor performance according to customer and company expectations.</li> <li>Partners and advises assigned contractor fleet, creating a sense of community and engagement.</li> <li>May assist with issuing, collecting, and monitoring assigned contractor equipment and uniforms.</li> </ul><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities: </strong>This job has no employee supervisory responsibilities.<br><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Qualifications: </strong>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty according to the requirements of NOW Courier.
