Position Description:

The LTSS intern will participate in projects to assist the Division of Long Term Services and Supports. Responsibilities may include participating in outreach activities to educate South Dakotans on the services available through the Division of Long Term Services and Supports; conducting surveys with consumers and/or providers; completing administrative duties; conducting onsite and/or desk reviews; assisting with quality assurance activities; and direct interaction with consumers, providers, LTSS field staff, and LTSS Program staff.

Course work in sociology, human services, nursing or related field may be beneficial, but not required.

Qualifications:

Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply. By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program.

All students are encouraged to apply, but preference may be given to applicants with a standing of junior/senior, South Dakota residents, and students of South Dakota institutions.
