Position Description:

Student Interns provide assistance in preparing work papers, trial balances, depreciation schedules, entering data for computer applications and preparing engagement correspondence. They also may assist professional staff in gathering data for tax return preparation, maintaining the tax library, and maintaining client tax and auditing files.

Required Job Qualifications include:

  • Must be enrolled as a student in an accredited college or university with a major in accounting

  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with others.

  • High degree of discretion dealing with confidential information.

VIEW JOBS 11/9/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-07T00:00 Summary The Systems Application Administrator will play an important role within the data management and dev/ops groups to ensure the optimal management and running of environments used by this groups. The System Application Administrator will be the primary person responsible for user administration, upgrades, hot fixes, problem resolution and environment tuning and optimization for platforms used by the aforementioned groups. The system administrator will work closely with the server and network admin teams to support the environments. While the position is a Systems Application Administrator, it is not expected that the person in this role will be involved with operating system and network management or upgrades, however there may be opportunities for database administration for the right individual. The Systems Application Administrator will need to be able to diagnose, debug and resolve problems quickly and be able to communicate technical concerns and solutions to peers as well as to management. The individual in his role will participate in technical research and review of upcoming new feature and functions released by the software vendors. The successful candidate for this role will have 4 or more years' experience working in a similar capacity within an IT functional group. The successful candidate will have prior experience documenting process and procedures used to manage the environments. While experience administrating a SAS environment is desirable, we are looking for someone who is willing to learn administration of this environment and others used by data management and Dev/Ops. The successful candidate for this role, will have 4 or more years' experience working in a similar capacity within an IT functional group and experience with application/system administration, Linux, windows and database experience (MySQL, Maria DB, SQL Server). Responsibilities * Monitor the software application, and document and analyze problems, performance or usability concerns. * Perform review of system and application logs * Develop and maintain technical procedures and process * Develop test plans used to verify upgrades and hotfixes * Plan, coordinate, test, communicate changes, upgrades/hot fixes and maintenance schedules and participate in the Change Advisory Board (CAB) * Set up administrator of service and user accounts. * Work with internal audit and Information Security to ensure appropriate controls and audit logs are in place. * Escalate and document issues to vendors help desk or technical support groups. * Communicate new changes to internal IT staff * Provide Database administration as individual skills and time allow. * Produce technical documentation for new and existing applications. * Participate in weekly team meetings and prepare summary of issues to be resolved, and progress reports Education and Experience * BA/BS in Business, computer science, Information Management or related discipline * Proven working experience as a system or application administrator * 4+ Years' professional experience Required Skills * Hands on experience with Linux and windows OS * Demonstrated ability with administration of other large multi-server environments. * Excellent problem solving and the ability to work through ambiguous work situations. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Hands‐on experience with software upgrades, application of hot fixes and server/application configuration. * Self‐motivated, able to work independently, and take initiative. * Ability to multitask in a fast‐paced environment. * Outstanding attention to detail with superior time management skills.
