Amentum is seeking a Intermediate Test Operations Engineer to join our team at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD to support our customer, Project Manager Intelligence Systems & Analytics - Army (PM IS&A).

This position is contingent upon award.

Duties:

  • Provide test and evaluation support in all phases of the life cycle, to include preparing, reviewing of test plans and procedures for accuracy and adequacy; designing tests to include planning test resource requirements; witnessing tests and providing technical support; preparing and coordinating test reports and test plans in accordance with appropriate Army regulations.

  • Prepare/contribute and update the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) or Strategies as appropriate.

  • Provide support to all test events to include hardware, software, test equipment, instrumentation, and facilities as needed. Support is to be provided for the following test requirements:

  • Hardware and software component testing.

  • Subsystem and system level developmental testing.

  • System compatibility testing.

  • Acceptance testing.

  • Functional testing.

  • Integration testing.

  • Full qualification testing.

  • Field-testing and evaluation.

  • Environmental tests and stress screening.

  • Electromagnetic interference and compatibility testing.

  • TEMPEST testing.

  • Interoperability testing.

  • Cybersecurity certification and accreditation testing.

  • Support various Government and 3rd party vendor testing at various locations leading up to the Government acceptance. Document test procedures and results to be retained as artifacts for each software release. Deficiencies, waivers, and other system deviations from documented requirements will be documented.

  • Support and work with Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC), as well as other test organizations, to satisfy testing requirements for successful fielding and integration onto host platforms.

  • Support developmental testing process through the coordination and setup of test architecture and network defined by the test plan providing support and input to test plans. Trouble shoot issues and coordinate with other organizations in order to be ready for the start of test.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Detailed-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Direct experience with setting up network architecture and systems under test in preparation for a test event, lab work, or demonstration.

  • Knowledge and working understanding in order to set up of PM IS&A portfolio of systems along with the associated systems in their network.

Required Clearance:

  • ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Top Secret. Please note that US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, System, Software or Computer Engineering; Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.

  • At least ten (10) years of related work experience.

Travel:

Travel should not exceed 35% for this position. Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations.

Work Environment:

This position may be performed in a variety of locations, including but not limited to, commercial and/or government offices, test and integration labs, government facilities and depots, and test & evaluation and proving grounds.

  • Withstand prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and computer use.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full‐time position, Monday through Friday. Flexibility around core hours. Travel may occur outside of normal core hours.
