Intermediate Designer, 3-7 years experience Group 4 Architecture, Research + Planning, Inc.
seeks a full-time intermediate designer with 3 to 7 years of professional experience.
Group 4 utilizes a unique team-oriented approach to architecture, interior design and planning projects that integrates architects, planners, users and clients into the design process; this approach produces a diverse portfolio of vital facilities that reflect the unique attributes of their communities.
Within the office, we work in a collaborative, studio-driven environment.
Our intermediate designers are an integral part of our project teams, regularly participating in client meetings, multidisciplinary consultant charrettes, and community engagement activities throughout the project life cycle.
As a medium-sized firm, Group 4 offers intermediate designers the opportunity to work closely with principals and senior architectural staff who are dedicated to mentoring and employee development.

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Sr. Analog/Mixed Signal IC Designer to work with an industry leading design team on cutting edge chip products for multiple genomic sequencing markets. What will you do? Primary Responsibilities: * Collaborate with product engineering, systems, and biology teams to develop overall chip definition. * Create block level specifications from system budgets and chip specifications. * Block and top-level analog design, implementation, and verification. * Drive floor-planning and power planning for chip and block designs. * Proactively identify risks and solutions to mitigate them. * Bring up, evaluate, and debug new silicon designs. * Write detailed documentation and conduct design reviews. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 7 years experience in CMOS process technologies - PhD preferred. * Experienced in designing for low noise, high linearity, high speed, and low power, with associated system-level trade-offs. * Circuit design experience of analog circuits - e.g. ADCs, DACs, PLLs, SERDES, amplifiers, image sensor architectures. * Must be digital aware - understand how analog transistors affect digital circuitry. * Proficient with industry-standard Cadence design and verification tools. * Proven success demonstrable through tape-out of multiple chips going from initial concept to production release. * Team player with excellent communication skills - i.e. verbal, presentation, and written. Preferred Qualifications: * Understanding of device physics and deep-sub micron challenges and advantages. * Experience in defining and implementing partitioning of chip hierarchy. * Proficient in mismatch and Monte Carlo simulation and analysis. * Experienced in circuit and system level verification, and EM/IR flows and tools. * Understanding of design rules and familiarity with physical verification - i.e. DRC, LVS, RCX. * Knowledge of Linux operating systems and scripting for automation of design and verification - e.g. Python, Perl, Tcl, SKILL, OCEAN. * Hands-on experience in chip bring-up and characterization.
