POSITION SUMMARY:

The representative is to service the needs of our customers by accurately billing customer accounts, assuring timely remittance, and taking immediate action on issues that involve account integrity. The representative will also follow-up with payers to facilitate uninterrupted cash flow.

ESSENTIAL TASKS:

Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to practice proper phone and email etiquette.

  • Skilled in answering a telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner.

  • Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions.

  • Answers questions from customers, clerical staff, and insurance companies.

  • Identifies and resolves patient billing complaints.

  • Handles customer collection calls.

Knowledge of medical billing and collection practices.

  • Proficient in medical terminology and insurances HCPC/ICD-9 codes.

  • Documents activities in ERP system in an efficient accurate and timely manner.

  • Effectively evaluates EOB's and makes appropriate adjustments.

  • Effectively resolves aging claims timely.

  • Accountable for reducing delinquency in assigned account

Ensures the billing activity is handled correctly.

  • Ability to edit and resubmit claims for payment.

  • Prepares and reviews clean claims for submission to various insurances either electronically or by paper.

Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint

Provide feedback to Group Team Lead regarding issues with accounts.

Conducts tasks and assignments as directed.

Contributes to specific objectives and outcomes as guided.

ESSENTIAL TASKS: * Identify and resolve customer concerns such as billing disputes and collections discrepancies by partnering with the reimbursement and collection teams * Receive and process customer account payments in addition to placing re-orders * Maintain excellent customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction * Conduct routine tasks as directed; works under clearly defined guidelines * Contributes to specific objectives and outcomes as directed QUALIFICATIONS: * 1-2 years customer service experience * Prior collections experience with multiple payers a must * Basic business skills with a moderate level of proficiency, including a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office * Excellent verbal and communication skills * Experience with high volume in-bound calls * Must be able to thrive in a fast paced environment handling multiple demands If you feel this opportunity could be the next step in your career, we encourage you to apply.
