Clinical Supervisor

The Clinical Supervisor provides direct patient care and supervises the nursing operations of a unit. In the absence of the Manager or Director may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility. Works with a unit specific patient population.

RN

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Monitor Tech

The Monitor Technician will be responsible for performing direct observation of biomedical electronic devise displays, reads, and mounts rhythm strips, and reporting periodic or remarkable value changes as required. Provides indirect patient care to adolescent through adult patient population. Ensure the best possible outcomes to patients through critical thinking and attention to detail.

Patient Care Tech

Provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures for physical hygiene and comfort of patients. Performs duties with the construct of a unit-based, self-directed patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and non-licensed members.

Cardiac Sonographer

Performs 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and cardiac Doppler echocardiography in the adult and geriatric patient population. Must be able to assist the cardiologist in transesophageal echo and perform stress echo procedures. Will be responsible for maintaining performance improvement documentation in cardiac ultrasound in accordance with IAC (Intersocietal Accreditation Commission).

Medical Assistant

Provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in medical office setting. Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by physician. Specific duties and responsibilities assigned to the individual will be determined by the supervising physician(s), clinical staff and Practice Coordinator after competency is established.

CLINICAL SUPERVISOR REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with one (1) year of nursing experience in area of specialty.

  • Associates Degree with three (3) years' clinical experience OR Bachelor's in Nursing with Two (2) years' clinical experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities and make appropriate clinical and supervisory decisions. Must possess good problem solving skills.

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.

  • Certified in cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

  • Other certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP may be required based on department needs.

RN REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience as a RN post-orientation or post-residency training.

  • Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

  • Other requirements such as RN attributes & certifications (ACLS, NRP, PALS, etc.) are unit specific. Please refer to the specific clinical unit.

MONITOR TECH REQUIREMENTS

  • Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia Course. Successfully complete a competency exam on identification of arrhythmias with a score of 85% or greater.

  • Must possess and maintain current knowledge of pacemakers, ICDs, and related issues as identified.

  • Must complete on annual competency exam and correctly identify all lethal arrhythmias and receive overall score of 85% or greater.

PATIENT CARE TECH REQUIREMENTS

  • One year patient care tech experience in a hospital or acute care setting.

  • Current BLS card (CPR)

  • High School diploma or equivalent

CARDIAC SONOGRAPHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Registered or registry eligible as diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer through RDCS or Cardiovascular credentialing International CCI.

  • Certified in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (BCLS)

  • Intermediate Computer Skills

  • Knowledge of methods, techniques, and operating principles involved in the operation of various ultrasound equipment

  • Ability to perform with proficiency the skills and procedures designated

MEDICAL ASSISTANT REQUIREMENTS

  • 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.

  • Current BLS card (CPR).

  • Color vision acuity is required to safely perform the duties of this position if such duties are related to lab duties.

  • If employed at North Georgia Diagnostic Clinic, RMA or CMA must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
