Looking for a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for assisting the Controller in all areas relating to financial control and reporting. This position will be responsible for assisting in developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial information. Candidates must have a strong understanding of GAAP, and be capable of meeting tight deadlines while managing multiple accounting activities. Responsibilities ?Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure. ?Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including: ?Month closing process ?Accounts payable/receivable ?Cash receipts and cash forecasting ?General ledger ?Payroll ?Revenue and expenditure variance analysis ?Capital assets reconciliations ?Check runs ?Fixed asset activity ?Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements ?Make adjusting journal entries for errors and specific financial reporting transactions ?Perform other duties and complete assignments as directed by the Controller ?Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles ?Coordinate and complete annual audits ?Provide recommendations ?Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions ?Lead projects and manage progress to ensure compliance and accuracy ?Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions If interested, please send resume to or call

Requirements ?Bachelor?s degree in Accounting ?3-5 years of staff to senior-level general ledger accounting experience ?Ability to establish priorities and complete assignments accurately and on a timely basis ?Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines as required. ?High attention to detail and accuracy ?Strong experience with reporting and variance analysis ?Strong analytical skills in reviewing trend data and exception recognition ?Strong experience creating and analyzing large amounts of data ?Able to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected situations ?Assist with preparation of year-end audit work papers and responses to audit inquiries ?Identifies problem areas when looking at information, seeing patterns, trends or missing pieces, and identifies the similarities. Questions inconsistency in financial data. Makes recommendations to resolve ?Knowledge of Inter-company accounting ?Strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization ?Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel (v-lookups, pivots, functions)

These independentresponsibilities include but are not limited to analyzing financial informationand preparing financial reports to document or maintain records of assets,liabilities, profit and loss, or other financial activities. Job Responsibilities: * Servesas subject matter expert or organization resource in assigned areas. * Analyzes and reconciles accounting data andtransactions requiring the knowledge of complex rules and regulations;initiates contact with outside agents, institutions, or with other internalunits, to develop and implement a solution to accounting discrepancy. * Promptand immediate processing of daily work tasks according to special financial andaccounting practices defined and established for the assigned sub-systems. * Manage all Flexible Benefits financial transactions * Balances and reconciles complex accounting records,such as statewide Flexible Benefits and bank reconciliations * Determines sources of errors by researchingaccounting records, recording and/or directing correction of entries. * Plays a key role in monthly, quarterly and annualfinancial closing processes with reviewing, preparing and posting journalentries. * Preparing advanced-level professionalrecommendations and financial reports to management. * Assist in development of policies and procedures forassigned areas. * Maintainscomplete, accurate and readily accessible accounting files that conform toapplicable policies, procedures, guidelines and standards. * Followsguidelines for providing information to others and auditors when necessary. * Maintainsconfidentiality of records, files and other documentation.
