We are seeking a talented and motivated Interior Designer to join our team. As an integral part of our design department, you will contribute to various phases of project development, from schematic design to design development. Responsibilities:

  1. Assisting Senior Lead Interior Designer and Project Manager:
  • Collaborate with the senior lead interior designer and project manager on interior design projects.
  • Participate in design discussions and contribute creative ideas.
  • Site Measurements and Documentation:
    • Visit project sites to take accurate measurements for drawings.
    • Document existing conditions for renovations.
  • 3D Renderings and Visual Communication:
    • Create compelling 3D renderings that effectively communicate design concepts.
    • Develop rendered photos and videos for client presentations.
  • Design Documents and Annotations:
    • Produce design document sheets, including floorplans, site plans, elevations, sections, and details.
    • Annotate and dimension floorplans, site plans, building and interior elevations, sections, and details.
  • Material Research and Selection:
    • Conduct research on design solutions and materials.
    • Determine and record finishes for flooring, ceilings, walls, and millwork.
  • Client, Contractor, and Consultant Communication:
    • Attend meetings with clients and consultants, taking detailed notes.
    • Share meeting minutes with the project manager.
    • Lead meetings when necessary.
    • Approve finish submittals from contractors.
    • Inform consultants about changes in project scope.
    • Prepare and send responses to RFIs (Requests for Information) to contractors.
    • Supply consultants with required drawing files (CAD, Revit, PDF) upon request.
  • Presentation and Approval:
    • Create digital presentation packages and physical boards for clients, showcasing finish patterns and colors.
    • Review contractors’ submittals for accuracy, request resubmissions, approve with notes, or give full approval.
  • Project Management Tools:
    • Manage Procore notifications related to interior design submittals.
    • Add necessary users to Procore for project collaboration.
    • Maintain job site logs and consistently update them in Procore.

    Other Responsibilities:

    • Assist project managers with creating and updating projects in the Ajera project system.
    • Organize the TBA materials library.
    • Attend ribbon cuttings, groundbreakings, and dedication ceremonies for TBA projects.
    • Conduct site visits for projects.
    • Serve as backup for answering inbound phone calls alongside interns.

    Requirements

    ·         Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or license

    ·         Required software skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD, Lumion, Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)

    ·         Preferred software skills: Procore, Bluebeam

    • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
