Interim Program Coordinator For Social Studies K-12

Description

Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning, the program coordinator is responsible for the administration of four major areas: instructional leadership; curriculum, instruction and assessment; supervision and evaluation of teachers; and professional development.

Salary: In accordance with the Andover Administrators' Association/Andover School Committee Agreement

Evaluation: Evaluated annually by the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in the content area

• Massachusetts Certification as Supervisor/Director

• Minimum of three years of experience in supervision and administration preferred

• Minimum of five years teaching experience

• Excellent leadership and communication skills

• Knowledge of relevant educational technologies and the ability to integrate technology in the program area

• Capacity to work in collegial setting and set high academic and instructional expectations

• Demonstration of successful teaching experience

• Experience in curriculum and assessment development, interdisciplinary curriculum, instructional design, and program evaluation
