The Interim General Manager (IGM) reporting to the Area Supervisor, is responsible for operating a profitable
restaurant and for making sure that the restaurant meets McDonald's critical customer standards of Quality,
Service, and Cleanliness in the absence of a Certified General Manager. The Interim General Manager will work
with his/her leader to set the restaurant's goals and create a plan to achieve the goals. The IGM will be responsible
for restaurant food, costs, inventory, and manager and crew schedules.
The IGM will lead all restaurant Department Managers and crew staff in daily operations.
The IGM will be responsible for achieving all organizational metrics.
The IGM will hold overall responsibility for the training and development of their in-restaurant crew.
The IGM will be responsible for leading their restaurant's recruiting and hiring efforts.
The IGM role is a transitional in-restaurant senior leadership role, that will have complete oversight of a restaurant in
the absence of a Certified General Manager.
1.Upon hire, the Interim General Manager will have an Individual Development Plan (IDP), to draw out
the roadmap of success that will serve as the IGM's path to becoming a Certified General Manager.
2.Interim General Managers will not be assigned to a single restaurant; they will serve as Interim.
General Managers at restaurants across their assigned areas as needed.
3.IGMs will be assigned to a General Manager when not actively leading a restaurant as Interim
General Manager, to further their training and development.
