The Financial Reporting and Treasury Manager is responsible for daily cash management, financial forecasting and reporting, banking relationships and other Treasury functions, and establishing strong inter-company relationships. This position will also be required to analyze financial reports and provide recommendations for improvements to the senior leadership team of the Tribe.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day cash positions for the Casino and Tribal Government. Transfer funds as required, ensuring sufficient funding to cover payables.
Implement automation of daily cash management tools
Prepare weekly cash reports, including 13-week forecast, Treasury dashboard, for Executives and Board of Directors.
Prepare and maintain accurate cash forecast by working with key departments.
Manage the relationship with the Tribe's bank partners.
Analyze banking fees and periodically reevaluate bank services and adjust as necessary.
Serve as key point of contact for P-Card (Purchase card program) and credit card services for the Tribe and Casino.
Prepares financial reports by supervising the collection of monthly, quarterly, and annual operating information; preparing consolidations and cash flow statements; following Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP).
Evaluates financial condition by analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual operating information and consolidations; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management; conducting account analysis; providing recommendations; revising forecasts.
Provides management planning and control information by assembling and analyzing historical financial data; identifying trends; providing forecasts; coordinating internal audit requirements; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.
Supports operating management by compiling special information and analyses; preparing recommendations; tracking change implementation.
Improves Financial Reporting process by studying, evaluating, as well as, re-designing processes and implementing changes as needed.
Meets financial objectives by estimating requirements; assisting with the preparation of the annual budget; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions as directed.
Analyzes and prepares monthly budgets and forecasts; verifies and corrects variances.
Develops financial presentations for executives, Business Committee, and General Council.
Maintains, secures and ensures confidentiality of all matters, documents and records.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
This position does not have any direct reports. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning and directing work.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field is required. A Masters of Business Administration is highly preferred.
Minimum two (5) years of Treasury and Cash Management experience required.
Equivalent combination of education and progressive, relevant and direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational/experience requirements indicated above.
Multi-industry experience should include (but not limited to): hospitality, finance, real-estate, marketing and food service.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook is required.
