Millcroft Living is looking for an interim Plant ooperations Director, who will operate and maintain all facilities while meeting or exceeding Federal, State and local government regulations. Ensures all facilities are maintained in a safe, sanitary and healthy condition. Provides general support services as required

Schedule: Salary Mon-Fri with weekend rotations - Starting at 70k annually.

Essential Job Duties:

1.Plans, provides and maintains a quality facility with respect to the interior and exterior of the buildings, roads, grounds, tools and equipment to achieve a safe, sanitary and healthy living/working environment for residents an staff, and to provide residents with quality transportation, security, reception and facility services.

2.Leads all departmental employee functions, providing the facility with productive, responsive employees who are well trained and effectively managed.

3.Develops departmental, community and corporate goals/objectives, formulate and implement tools for training evaluations and methods for follow-up. Maintain accurate documentation and meet Human Resources guidelines.

4.Implements systems and controls to achieve financial performance as established by the departmental budget. This includes developing budgets and capital spending plans on an annual basis.

5.Orchestrates departmental administration, subordinate groups and departments through effective leadership to enable the community to achieve its mission

6.Assures that all services and programs are in compliance with federal, state and/or local laws and statutes.

7.Demonstrates technical and management knowledge, proficiency and initiative in achieving goals and meeting standards.

8.Develops and oversees Individual Development Plans for each Manager and supports their growth and educational opportunities.

9.Develops and implements a Succession Plan to prepare staff for future opportunities as the community and individuals grow.



  1. Plans and initiates staff training in emergency preparedness, life safety, personal protective equipment, OSHA mandated training, and other required training. Monitors infection control guidelines within the department.

  2. Supervises the performance of landscaping, maintenance, transportation, communications and security personnel through inspections and other quality assurance procedures.

  3. Maintains an effective security department. Develops security policies and procedures, coordinates investigations, and maintains key security.

  4. Maintains an effective communications department. Develops policies, procedures and schedules to effectively communicate with residents, guests, family members and staff.

  5. Develops and maintains an effective transportation department. Maintains vehicle fleet and coordinates activities of the bus driver(s).

  6. Develops and maintains landscaping and is responsible for coordination of fertilization, tree trimming, and bed maintenance contracts.

  7. Implements established emergency policies and procedures. Responds to emergency service calls.

  8. Plans and coordinates work of the department with other departments. Interfaces and works with certain resident committees (i.e., building and grounds).

  9. Reviews and analyzes quality control, maintenance and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications and operating or production problems. 19. Maintains regulatory compliance for Radford Green

QUALIFCATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Strong horticultural background preferred. Ability to implement and initiate necessary plans to ensure proper maintenance of grounds. Basic computer knowledge and experience.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Five years' experience in grounds maintenance.

  • Five-years' experience in HVAC and Electrical REQUIRED

  • Five years' experience in maintenance trade, electrical, plumbing, HVAC
