We are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to assume an Interim Director of Nursing (DON) position at our client's premier skilled nursing facility located in Greenfield, IA.

The successful candidate for this position will have:

  • a registered nurse (RN) license in the State of Iowa;
  • proven experience in a skilled nursing facility with at least one year of successful experience as a Director of Nursing (DON);
  • excellent knowledge of federal and state survey process;
  • excellent work history in the long-term care industry;
  • commitment to team-oriented outcomes and quality care; and
  • excellent oral and written communication skills.

Think Whole Person Healthcare is one of the largest independent primary care centers in the U.S. We are an advanced Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) using both clinical pharmacy and care coordination to maintain or improve the health of our sickest patients while decreasing the total cost of care or as we say at Think, the total cost of suffering. Role Summary: The Director of Nursing will report directly to the Chief Clinical Officer, this senior leader will be responsible for the delivery of quality clinical care for all Nursing services within our clinic. He/she will develop and execute innovative clinical models and programs to promote excellence in clinical practice, optimal patient outcomes, and successful positioning for new and innovative reimbursement models; as well as lead the development of strategies to expand clinical programs and promote growth. Key Responsibilities: * Supervising and coordinating all nursing roles. * Ensuring that all compliance procedures are being adhered to within the clinical roles. * Listening, resolving and communicating solutions on any issues related to clinical roles including providers. * Implementing work flows, efficiencies and processes for all nursing roles. * Managing the analysis and quality reporting for all nursing roles. * Ensuring the delivery of quality clinical care through QA monitors. * Addressing problems involving personnel, medical staff, patient, and families. * Managing the relationship with the outsourced scribe services that support current providers. * Participating in the Safety Committee Meetings as it relates to the nursing team. * Maintaining a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in team problem-solving methods. * Performs other duties as assigned. Skill, Knowledge, and Experience: * 10+ years of experience as a RN or APRN in the healthcare field * 3+ years in a healthcare Leadership or Director role * Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Nebraska * Bachelors in Nursing (RN) required, Masters preferred * Current BLS Certification * Strong proficiency with technology, i.e. computers * Skilled in EHR, ideally Allscripts and Microsoft Office applications * Strong written and verbal communication Think Aksarben Omaha NE
