Non-profit organization committed supporting children & families Longstanding Denver organization that makes a positive impact on over 3000 children/year Ability to put your expertise to use and cleanup & build out a well run accounting function Why this job – Interim Accounting Manager A mission-driven non-profit organization is seeking an Interim Controller to join their team for a 6 month cleanup/rebuild project.

This project is not for the faint of heart Someone with previous experience with clean up projects within non-profit organizations will do well As the Interim Accounting Manager, you will oversee and manage the month-end close process, implement process improvements, and optimize the creation and distribution of monthly financial statements. This role offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to a reputable organization with a strong presence in Denver, making a meaningful impact within the community. What You'll Actually Do:

Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities Heavy reconciliations Create and manage month-end closing procedures Prepare monthly financial reports Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy of financial records Lead a team of two accounting staff Provide department heads with monthly financial reports To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting 10 years of progressive accounting experience, at least 3 years in non-profit accounting Knowledge of Medicaid/insurance billing Experience with Raiser's Edge or other Blackbaud non-profit accounting is a huge plus Demonstrated experience cleaning up financials/backlog to include previous months Patience and high emotional EQ to communicate with staff and work through challenges Ability to start ASAP and commit to a 6-month contract Must be able to pass an extensive background check Where and How Much: Target Compensation $65-$78/per hour DOE – 40 hours/week In office with flexibility to work from home – office located in North Denver/Highlands Anticipated length of Contract – 6 Months Company Description Founded in 2000, J2T Financial Recruiting has collaborated with clients of varying sizes to successfully create thriving and effective teams.
