We are seeking a skilled Technical Accounting Consultant to join our remote team. This role is ideal for a professional with a deep understanding of accounting principles and experience in PE/VC-backed organizations. The consultant will play a crucial role in advising our clients on complex accounting issues, implementing best practices, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, providing strategic guidance to finance teams and contributing to the overall success of our clients.

• Provide expert advice on a range of technical accounting issues, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, financial instruments, and consolidation.
• Assist clients in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP, IFRS, or other relevant standards.
• Lead the implementation of new accounting standards and provide training to client teams on technical accounting updates.
• Conduct financial and operational due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with finance teams to design and implement internal controls and processes that enhance financial accuracy and compliance.
• Support clients during external audits, acting as a liaison between the client and auditors to ensure smooth and efficient audit processes.
• Prepare and present reports and analyses to senior management and stakeholders, offering insights and recommendations for financial planning and strategy.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on technical accounting. Experience in a PE/VC-backed organization or a consultancy serving such clients is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and other accounting standards.
• Proven ability to analyze financial information and provide strategic recommendations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with teams and stakeholders at all levels.
• Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.

This is a full-time, remote position. Candidates should have a dedicated home office space and be comfortable working independently.
