The UI Developer will work closely with user experience designer, business analysts, and back-end developers to create seamless and elegant front-end experience for a diverse user base. The UI Developer will develop and maintain moderately complex graphical user interfaces and will be responsible for standardizing the UI approach (structure, process, standards, methodologies); applies accessibility UI standards to ensure compliance and responsive design. Additional responsibilities include preparation of technical documentation, participation in full life-cycle development activities including moderately complex technical design, programming, unit and integration test planning and execution. Additionally, the UI Developer participates in research of emerging technologies and industry practices; makes recommendations for enterprise information management best practices and technologies for adoption, provides input to continual improvement activities for assigned projects. Collaborates with product owner to prioritize development activities and project plans; validates new features and concepts with users through prototypes, focus groups, and analysis of actual product usage patterns. Provides after-hours support as needed or assigned. Percentage of Time: 100 Shift Start: 8:00 am Shift End: 5:00 pm Qualifications for Position 15 Records Qualifications Required/Preferred Three or more years of professional experience in the design, development, testing and documentation of user interfaces for enterprise web applications using JavaScript, JQuery, MVC, AJAX, HTML, XHTML, XML/JSON and CSS. Required Programming experience with React/Redux and data tables. Required Experience applying web browser standards, concepts, best practices and cross-browser compatible interfaces; skilled in the application of accessibility standards in the design and development of user interfaces. Required Ability to create models, templates, prototypes, wireframes from requirements and use cases. Required Knowledge and application of ES6 and SASS frameworks. Required Experience with front end testing and debugging techniques using tools such as Karma. Required Ability to work independently on large scale, complex projects with minimal supervision. Required Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues, users, stakeholders and customers at all levels. Required Understanding of Agile and test-driven development methodologies; ability to plan and manage assigned tasks or projects independently while ensuring customer expectations are met. Required Possess written and verbal communication skills sufficient to communicate effectively and clearly with colleagues, customers and leadership at all levels and backgrounds. Required Skill and experience to effectively utilize common office productivity software such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Outlook, Office 365, and internet browsers. Required Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering (or similar) OR equivalent relevant professional experience and education. Required Experience with modern application life-cycle management processes and tools for code management, version control, build management, continuous integration, issue tracking, quality assurance and test automation. Preferred Experience with issue tracking tools, Source control, CI/CD tools and web servers such as Tomcat; knowledge of DevOps processes for build and deployment automation.
