SUPPORT, ANALYSIS, and RESEARCH

  • Responsible for the analysis, design, development, implementation and support of interfaces including analysis of data, business owner interaction for discovery, testing, documentation of requirements, building and maintaining mapping tables.

  • Provide direct technical support for all requirements in the planning, coordination, programming and implementation of releases, upgrades, or changes to the interface server environment.

  • Plans and implements major software upgrades, ensuring change management procedures and methodologies are implemented and followed.

  • Provides 3rd level support and architectural design for the technical data interface infrastructure environment of the hospital.

  • Responsible for one or more of the following:

  • Epic Bridges

  • Iguana Interface platform

  • Capsule Technologies

  • Responsible for the technical scoping and planning with technical staff, application staff, and project management.

  • Proof of concept design and review.

  • Provides support to application analysts and participates in the development, validation and execution of comprehensive implementation and test plans.

  • Coordinates deployment into production.

  • Monitors, patches and maintains through the lifecycle process.

  • Secures and hardens infrastructure by applying best practice security methodologies.

  • Technology roadmap planning and testing for future interface platforms.

  • Requires impeccable attention to detail and thorough technical documentation maintenance.

  • Performs 24/7 on-call support on a rotational basis.Creates detailed work-related specifications, system design documentation, procedures, process and data flows, and project and change management plans.

  • Communicates effectively with clients and colleagues.

  • Demonstrates proficient degree of analytical skills.

  • Supports multiple concurrent work efforts, educates and coaches other team members, and works with minimal supervision in support of team initiatives.

However, a Lead Systems Analyst is deemed to be the subject matter expert and in-house advisor on complex problems and issues. A Lead Systems Analyst also: Analyzes and defines systems information requirements, objectives and solutions sets for complex application and systems enhancements or replacements. Employs excellent analytical skills to define system information requirements and objectives for system requirements and objectives for system, application and interface maintenance or enhancement requests and communicates to clients and programmer/build staff. Participates in the system selection process, including needs assessment, RFP and vendor selection. Recommends operational and process improvements. Establishes coding and documentation standards. Creates or modifies complex design, build, or code programs to meet user, system, or applications requirements, and installs, tests, supports, and evaluates project coding. Provides quality reviews of other System Analyst work products such as system documentation and requirements. Acts as a leader of cross-functional teams including operational "Care Teams" and process improvement teams. Understand and comply with all enterprise and IS departmental information security policies, procedures and standards. Support the integration of information security in the development, design, and implementation of Hospital Technology Resources that process, transmit, or store CT Children's information. Support all compliance activities related to state, federal regulatory requirements, healthcare accreditation standards, and all other applicable regulations that govern the use and disclosure of patient, financial, or other confidential information SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES May directly supervises team members, delegates, monitors and manages multiple projects and teams, manages client expectations, coaches staff and enforces compliance with department standards and hospital policies and procedures Connecticut Children's Medical Center Rocky Hill CT
