We're looking for a Citi Commercial Banking Interest Rate Sales Analyst to join our world-class team. CCB Interest Rate Sales team works with corporate clients to help them assess and quantify their market risks, and advises clients on solutions to mitigate these market risks primarily using derivatives (e.g., interest rate derivatives, foreign exchange derivatives, and credit derivatives). The Rates team is responsible to structure, sell and then execute these transactions. The team is constantly monitoring the market, understanding key macroeconomic trends and providing market commentary and trade ideas to our clients. The CCB Interest Rates desk works closely with partners in Debt Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance, Global Banking, and other Product areas..

The CCB Interest Rate Sales team is looking to fill one position in New York, reporting directly to CCB Rates & Currencies Sales Head in New York.


  • Develop a thorough understanding of interest rate markets and their drivers

  • Develop a thorough understanding of cross asset relationships that can drive market movements

  • Develop the ability to price swaps, options, cross currency hedges and structured transactions

  • Understand the key interest rate risk management concerns of the CCB client base

  • Onboard, develop and manage a portfolio of revenue generating clients

  • Communicate tax and accounting considerations

The business will interact extensively with:

  • USD interest rate trading desk

  • Risk Treasury

  • Capital Markets Origination

  • Legal / Compliance / Risk


  • Assist the CCB Interest Rate Sales Team with its client acquisition strategy in Business Banking, Middle Market and Global and National Industry segments

  • Provide market updates to clients via telephone and electronic communication

  • Spearhead all stages of the documentation process to ensure proper compliance (credit, KYC, Dodd-Frank, confirmations, etc.)

  • Partner across product silos to boost cross sell efforts / better integrate the sales process

  • Collate macro-economic views and forecasts

  • Act as primary point of contact for client service related issues

  • Structure, price and execute interest rate hedging strategies


  • Undergraduate degree

  • 2-3 years of experience in structured rates products with financial services required.

  • Excellent communication (written, verbal, presentation and listening) and organizational skills.

  • Unlimited motivation to contribute to the broader team goals, as well as personal success.

  • Unwavering enthusiasm with a commitment to excellence, tenacity, attention to detail and integrity.

  • Strong quantitative and pricing skills

  • A curiosity to provide creative and practical solutions to problems.

  • Adaptable to change and calm under pressure.

  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 required within 90 days

  • Strong quantitative skills and systems aptitude
