In this role you support an entity or group of entities in the EFSSC Intercompany team. You will perform accounting and reporting activities with primary focus on delivering accurate and complete financial accounting, including all financial close activities.
Your key responsibilities
Managing the Intercompany Accounting and Reporting processes for your entity
The Intercompany team is mainly responsible for reconciling balances with Stryker group entities; Balance sheet reconciliations; Intercompany recharges and handling the netting process.
Other activities include but are not limited to providing input for KPI reporting, foreign currency exposure reporting, supporting internal / external audits.

Accurate and Complete Financial Accounting and Reporting, including all Financial Close activities
Support an effective system of Internal Controls, including Internal/External audits
Full Compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, Stryker policies and procedures and any applicable laws and regulations

The Intercompany Accountant is a key member of the Accounting to Reporting (A2R) team in the European Finance Shared Service Centre (EFSSC). In addition to A2R activities, the EFSSC is servicing Purchase to Pay, Master Data, Intercompany, Internal Controls and VAT services with in total about 140 FTEs. The EFSSC is the preferred business partner to support Stryker's mission and vision for the European business. This will require Finance to focus on the basics of providing financial services and support, deliver value added finance service and support to Stryker Europe. It is Finance's responsibility to assist the business in taking unnecessary costs out of its healthcare delivery system, achieve better economies of scale in the utilization of resources and leverage activities across functions and geographies to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Finance will be a best in class function, comprised of ethical, talented and engaged people, with efficient processes and effective controls that support our functions and customers. The role is reporting to the Associate Finance Manager Intercompany in the EFSSC.
What are we looking for?
Bachelor or Master Degree combined with 1 to 2 years of experience in a (GL) Accountant position or an audit firm (big four).
Fluent spoken and written English. Any other European language is a plus.
Familiar with USGAAP and Sarbanes Oxley Act (preferable)
Energetic, flexible, collaborative and proactive
High level of honesty, integrity, commitment and responsibility
Accustomed to working under pressure and with deadlines
