The Pratt and Whitney Commercial Engines Engineering Maintenance Data and Support Equipment (MDSE) organization is seeking an individual who will be responsible for the research and development of Service Bulletins to meet program level requirements for engine sustainment activities for various PurePower engine programs. You will be responsible for researching and interpreting technical data, executing the authoring of Service Bulletins in accordance with the S1000D industry specification, defining Service Bulletin requirements as it pertains to authoring and publishing in to an Interactive Electronic Technical Publication (IETP), coordinating with customers and suppliers, and responsibilities for the delivery of Service Bulletins.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Service Bulletins based on various forms of engineering source data.

  • Provide ongoing status to team lead on Service Bulletin development timelines.

  • Support Service Bulletin publishing process with involvement in data integrity check reviews and data error corrections, as well as quality review of publication modules.

  • Support program leads with program specific data requirements to ensure proper support of airframers, airline customers and overhaul shops as it pertains to Service Bulletin requirements.

  • Collaborate with the customer as it pertains to Service Bulletin requirements.

Basic Qualifications

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering at the time of assignment
  • US Citizenship is required due to Government Contracts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous internship experience

This position is in Military Engines Customer Support Engineering for the F135 Engine that supports the F35 aircraft. This position is within Pratt & Whitney's military engine sustainment organization and located in East Hartford, CT. The position will act as a primary interface with depot production and field bases for the overhaul and support of the F135 Engine. Internal interfaces with Support Equipment Engineers, Component Aftermarket Integrated Product Teams, Logistics Program Management, Program Office, Quality, and Fleet Management organizations. A wide variety of daily tasks are to be supported within the following categories: Activities include: * Operate within cross functional work teams in an environment that supports operations, government customers, and program management. * Manufacturing blueprint review & interpretation for jet engine hardware * Technical data review, interpretation, and authoring * Interface with internal Quality organization to assure process & product integrity * Support for authoring of technical dispositions for jet engine hardware & support equipment * Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives that support continuous process improvement * Coordination with engine fleet management programs * Product team technical presentations and cross organization communication * Technical support of Support Equipment and its relationship to engine hardware * Develop proficiency and expertise in Customer Support Engineering (CSE) processes * Support equipment supply chain management * Support equipment technical responses to field questions, interface with SE design organization * Support the design, manufacture, and sustainment of Packaging Handling Shipping and Transportation equipment * Systems support for the F135 engine at field user locations * Program budgeting, contracting, proposal, and execution interface * Support of Joint Technical Data and source data authoring Basic Qualifications * Candidate must be enrolled in an accredited Undergraduate University pursuing Bachelor's degree in engineering/technical discipline, logistics, supply chain management, business, or Aviation Maintenance Preferred Qualifications * Proficiency in MS Excel * Ability to support operations in a fast paced, dynamic, and results based production environment Raytheon Technologies is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
