Location: Multiple Exclusive US Assignments

TotalMed is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) specializing in Pediatric Intensive Care Units (PICU). These assignments are typically 13 week travel assignments with both day and night shifts available.


Administer nursing care to ill, injured, or disabled patients
Diagnose and establish patient treatment plans
Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention
Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
Maintain accurate patient medical records
Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members

Position Requirements:

State or Compact (where applicable) RN Licensure
Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
Familiarity with medical software and equipment
Ability to build rapport with patients
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities The Primary Care Nurse Practitioner: * Provides comprehensive emergency medicine healthcare under the supervision of the attending physician on shift. * With attending physician oversight, the APRN provides assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for Emergency Medicine Service patients. * Provides medical consultation and management of patients (assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment) with physician oversight. * Evaluates patient and obtains pertinent information for the diagnosis and treatment of the medical problem. * Orders testing and refers to other medical providers as necessary. -Documents appropriately in the EMR and completes necessary forms and correspondence in a timely manner. * Fosters the development of staff to fulfill the current and future requirements of individuals and the organization. * Provides a safe environment for patients and staff. * Actively supports and promotes the shared mission of Norman Regional Health System to achieve strategic goals. * Demonstrates our ICARE values: Integrity, Communication, Attitude, Results, and Engagement in a collaborative team environment. Qualifications Education * Nurse Practitioner Degree Experience * 1-2 years of experience preferred * Related Primary Care experience preferred (Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience) Licensure/Certification * Nurse Practitioner licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing with Family Medicine certification * Must meet credentialing requirements of Norman Regional * eClinical Works medical heath record experience a plus but not required * Great patient care and positive attitude Norman Regional Hospital Authority Moore OK
