TotalMed is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU). These assignments are 13-week travel assignments with both day and night shifts available.

Responsibilities:

Administer nursing care to ill, injured, or disabled patients
Diagnose and establish patient treatment plans
Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention
Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
Maintain accurate patient medical records
Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members

Position Requirements:

Registered Nurse Licensure
1-2 Years of previous experience
Familiarity with medical software and equipment
Ability to build rapport with patients
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Registered Nurse Full-Time (Three weekday evenings, 3pm - 11pm, plus every other Saturday & Sunday either 7am - 7pm or 7pm - 7am) We are currently seeking Registered Nurses to join our talented and caring team. Position Duties: Demonstrates leadership in organizing the delivery of patient care in an acute psychiatric setting for patients experiencing a wide range of psychiatric conditions. Executes nursing procedures according to policy, utilizing the nursing process. Interacts with and assists in teaching/educating patients. Functions as a therapeutic member in planning and working with patient groups. Serves as a clinical resource person for staff members in their daily activities. Documents pertinent information accurately, timely and legibly. Functions as a medication nurse. Attends mandatory in-services and/or completes required web-based training. Assumes responsibility for professional development and ongoing education. Maintains a professional appearance and attitude. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. Staff must demonstrate flexibility for reassignment to units providing care to varied populations including male and female adolescents and adults, as well as dually diagnosed adults. In absence of these qualifications upon hire, must demonstrate ability to learn these concepts and develop these skills within reasonable time frame via the organization's orientation and training program. Education: Graduate of accredited school of registered nursing. Experience: One year inpatient psychiatric experience with adults and/or adolescents preferred. Licensure/Certification: Current NC State Registered Nurse (or compact state) AHA CPR & First Aid Skills: Knowledge of appropriate nursing assessment, diagnoses, and interventions with patients. Ability to accurately administer medications and treatments. Ability to monitor and record response and side-effects to medications and treatments. Ability to safely implement Special Treatment Procedures. Ability to assist with education of patients and families in medication and care management. Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
