RN - Intensive Care Unit

Required qualification in this position includes:

  • Nursing degree/diploma upon hire

  • All Registered Nurses without a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing must obtain a Bachelor's degree in Nursing -or- higher within three (3) years of hire

  • A RN with twenty (20) years of RN experience will not be required to obtain a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)

  • Active Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) License

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from the following authorized governing bodies:

  • American Heart Association (AHA) - (BLS Provider),

  • American Red Cross (ARC) - (BLS for Health Care Provider), -or-

  • Military Training Network (MTN) - (Healthcare Provider) upon hire

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire

  • One (1) year acute care experience working with the patient population similar to Intensive Care Unit -or- completion of the specialty residency located at Providence Alaska Medical Center

Preferred qualification in this position includes:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

  • National Certification in Intensive Care Unit

Required qualifications: * Nursing degree/diploma required upon hire * Bachelor's Degree * Bachelor's of Nursing (BSN) degree or higher must obtain a BSN within 3 years of hire. * RNs with 20 years of RN experience will not be required to obtain a BSN * Unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in state(s) of hire, and wherever care is delivered.
