Please review the following job description:

Serve as the technical authority on numerous leading edge, complex state-of-the art technologies, theories, and/or techniques. Provide SME knowledge, technological expertise and thought leadership in development and deployment of Intelligent Automation strategies and technology.

Lead the utilization of RPA, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Natural Language and Linguistics, Big Data and AI tools to complex problems such as Capital Management and Enterprise Risk Modeling, Fraud Analytics, Social Media and Consumer Sentiment analysis etc. Design and plan the adoption of IA technologies with a keen eye towards managing inherent Risks and implementing effective Controls. Educate BB&T business units in the application of these technologies through webinars and other formal and informal training. Work alongside Consultants, Fintech partners, Vendors and other industry experts to improve upon knowledge and implementation of these technologies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1.Lead existing and emerging technology initiatives in the operations space while ensuring that technologies and processes are aligned with the goals and strategies of the BB&T business strategy.
2.Simultaneous play the roles of an educator, facilitator, project manager and implementer to achieve business objectives.
3.Configure and automate processes using Robotic Process Automation tools and other scripting methods. Ensure configurations leverage applicable patterns, industry best practices and are robust
4.Configure use cases on Chatbot (NLP) and automated Machine Learning platforms with no-code, low-code options
5.Leverage agile and devops frameworks to implement all elements of the RPA lifecycle: Process / Use Case Selection, Design/Configuration, Output Validation, Deployment and Ongoing Monitoring
6.Identify and develop sound architecture patterns, frameworks and standards for use across the enterprise to drive digital operations while ensuring consistency, adaptability and reuse (e.g. leverage microbots, metabots)
7.Develop solutions that span the spectrum of use cases to include: Robotic Process Automation, Robotic Desktop Automation, Chatbots, Virtual Agents (e.g. Alexa, Google Voice, Amelia etc.), Smart Workflows and business workflow orchestration mechanisms
8.Hypothesize, build, test and operationalize AI activities through machine learning (supervised, unsupervised), neural networks, Ontology reasoners, Bayes Nets algorithms, Support Vector Machines, Deep Learning Neural Nets etc.
9.Develop/invent, configure, script highly innovative solutions within multiple technologies and languages such as R, Python etc.
10. Expand data-driven capabilities and resources to a) drive meaningful recommendations and action plans from analysis and b) drive focus towards higher-return investments, customer portfolios (penetration, activation, usage, attrition) and data optimization.
11. Develop strong analytics using multiple BI tools such as QlikView, Tableau, SAS, Microstrategy etc.
12. Build strong partnerships with Business Units and D&TS team members to drive development/execution of BB&T's Intelligent Automation strategy.

Required Skills and Competencies:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1.Ten plus experience in process re-design, re-engineering using various tools and technologies
2.Ten years of experience in techno-business fields including direct/indirect leadership roles driving / delivering outcomes
3.Five years of experience in project and program management
4.Experience in Robotics, Machine Learning, Analytics, Business Intelligence and other analytical tools
5.Experience in working or configuring various platforms and applications such as Pega, SaaS, SAP, Tibco, SAS, ServiceNow, Salesforce etc. (No code or low code applications)
6.Bachelor's degree in Information Systems-related curriculum, or equivalent education and related training
7.Significant experience and/or understanding of Banking and Financial Services business. Knowledge of

Insurance brokerage business is a plus
8.Business acumen and effective communication skills
9.Ability to establish strong relationships with the corresponding technical community
10. Ability to serve as a visionary concerning future technological capabilities and operational scenarios; ability to create new business models by rapidly adapting technologies
11. Ability to unify activities within the BB&T technology community, coordinating with other businesses and engineering organizations as needed

Desired Skills:

1.Master's degree in Information Technology or related field
2.Worked for an Internet, Media or Digital startup or other such similar experience
3.Passion for new and emerging technology digital media and the mobile space
4.Distinctive problem-solving and analysis skills, combined with impeccable business judgment
5.Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

The Intelligent Automation team at BB&T provides expertise and thought leadership in development and deployment of Intelligent Automation tools across the BB&T enterprise.
