Who We Are Looking For

Under the general direction of the Embedded Intelligence Services (EIS) department, the Intelligence Analyst II will support the analytical needs of client engagements. The Analyst will work directly with his/her Manager and the EIS team to produce analysis addressing client-specific requirements.

The Analyst can be based remotely, though the preferred work location will be at Crisis24's Annapolis, MD, office with a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on-site. The Analyst will be available to travel to client locations as needed.

What You Will Work On

In coordination with Crisis24 EIS Managers, and in accordance with appropriate guidance:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client and regularly liaise with client points of contact to understand their requirements.

  • Gather, assess, and disseminate analysis on the nature of global security threats, the likelihood that they will affect the client's travelers, assets, and operations, and their likely effects.

  • Actively monitor open-source media, social media platforms, third-party subscription services, and other sources in real time for issues that could affect key personnel.

  • Open-source intelligence collection and analysis of regional trends and events to provide timely, comprehensive, customized intelligence products to decision-makers.

  • Using the intelligence cycle to research, assess, and support the production of written intelligence products that meet client requirements as well as EIS analytic standards, including but not limited to: Social Media Monitoring, Online Exposure Assessments, Travel Threat Assessments, Location Threat Assessments (Neighborhood-, City-, or Country-level), Site Threat Assessments, Event Threat Assessments, Requests for Intelligence, Daily Incident Assessments or Intelligence Products, Threat Forecasting, and Scenario Forecasting.

  • Produce written and oral assessments that are succinct and include beneficial analysis.

  • Understand the client's footprint and interests to anticipate client needs.

  • Support daily intelligence products for wide distribution, ensuring the reporting is timely, accurate, actionable, and in accordance with reporting criteria.

  • Suggest to clients potential improvements to the program and facilitate their implementation.

  • Manage client expectations by understanding the EIS team's product offerings and limitations.

  • Track and report metrics around production and deliverables.

  • Engage in cross-project analysis, including consistent sharing of information between analysts, participating in webinars or other external-facing group projects, and red-teaming peer analysts' work.

  • Be consistently engaged on a daily basis with teammates.

  • Conceptualize, develop, and propose to management business or intelligence initiatives to support departmental growth.

  • Provide constructive feedback to other analysts on their work product.

What You Will Bring

  • 2-4 years of experience in intelligence analysis, threat assessment, incident response, security operations, enterprise risk management, or a related field required.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required; Master's degree preferred.

  • Excellent research skills and the ability to mentor analysts in how to research and evaluate sources.

  • Exceptional analytic writing skills.

  • Exceptional analytic skills and knowledge of analytic techniques.

  • Knowledge of popular social media platforms.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Knowledge of Google Earth and Maps.

  • Effective problem-solving skills.

  • Fast learner and ability to multitask.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work with little supervision.

  • Ability to adhere to timelines and deadlines with effective time management skills.

  • Establishing and maintaining positive professional rapport with other analysts and SMEs as well as client contacts.

  • Subject matter expertise in a location, security-related topic, or analytic process preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide constructive feedback.

  • Work Conditions: Extensive periods of sitting

  • Occasional travel to client site may be required
