SMX is looking for an Intellectual Property Analyst to join our team! The Intellectual Property Analyst will perform Intellectual Property and Data Rights Analysis activities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Researching assertions

  • Researching legal framework and requirements

  • Analyze CDRLs

  • Support the development of the life cycle sustainment plan for the Project Office

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Clearance required: Secret

  • HS Diploma and 3 years of experience working Intellectual Property analysis, with at least 1+ years of experience working with and conducting Data Rights assessments. OR;

  • BS plus 0 years of experience in a Logistics based discipline with an academic appreciate of Intellectual Property and Data Rights

  • Familiarity with laws and policies covering Data Rights, including the appropriate FARS and DFARS clauses, Army Directive 2018-26, 10 USC 2320, DODI 5230.24, and DODI 5010.44; and a willingness to expand on that knowledge.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working Intellectual Property and Data Rights assertions in a government acquisition office

  • Knowledge of US Army staffing process and procedures

Vaccination within 60-days of hire, or an approved accommodation, is a requirement of the position per Executive Order 14042 (unless precluded by State law).
