Lake Superior Consulting (LSC), a Shawcor company, is seeking a talented, client-facing and results-producing Integrity Engineering Supervisor to lead a dedicated and highly skilled team of Engineers in the successful delivery of our clients projects; as well as business development in the Northeast region and other assigned territories. The Integrity Engineering Supervisor will have the responsibility to guide and create an environment that will greatly improve the team's professional skills and technical acumen. The Integrity Engineering Supervisor will work closely with employees to ensure alignment with the goals of the Integrity Management team and the overall organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work in concert with project managers and other supervisors to assign resources and level resource workload.
Manage a team with 4-8 direct reports of varying engineering disciplines, including the overall utilization of the team achieving set organizational goals.
Responsible for coaching and mentoring of team.
Reviews and approve weekly time and expense sheets, working with project managers to ensure accuracy.
May be required to manage or lead projects and may give guidance to junior professionals or technicians working on a common project.
Conduct annual performance reviews for direct reports and set performance goals to in alignment with company core values.
Participate in interviewing and the hiring new employees.
Ensure direct reports comply with company policies.
Proactively deal with personnel issues that arise.
Develop employee growth and training goals.
Work closely with employees to ensure they align with the goals of the IM team and the overall organization.
Responsible for ongoing communication with management, including timely identification of issues that may impact your team or the organization.
EDUCATION & MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or other related Engineering disciplines.
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience regarding integrity management work scopes.
Must possess a technical and practical acumen in one of the following areas: inline inspection, nondestructive evaluation, pressure testing, direct assessment, cathodic protection or related field.
Must be highly proficient in applicable engineering standards (e.g. ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, ASME B31.8S, API 1160, etc.) and Industry standards and regulations (e.g. CFR, NACE, etc.).
Current PE licensure or the ability to pursue licensure in the future is highly preferred.
Demonstrated leadership, communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skill with the ability to identify, dissect problems and develop solutions.
Strong technical acumen and high proficiency with MS Office Suite, MS Project and MS Access.
Ability to travel, up to 30%.
Oil & gas pipeline or related industry experience a plus.
