Integrity Engineer
General Summary
The Asset Integrity Engineer position will provide guidance and recommendations concerning operation, inspection, assessments, and repair using established construction and inspection codes. Familiarity with time, condition, and risk-based assessments will be required, along with the ability to aid in the design or to work within a client defined engineering assessment program.
Candidates will require a proven track record of working both as an individual contributor and as part of a highly efficient, motivated team, exercising good judgement and best engineering practice.
Knowledge, experience, and industry certifications across various asset classes and types preferred, including but not limited to pipes (API 570), above ground storage tanks (API 653), and pressure vessels (API 510).

Essential Job Functions
Items listed below should be considered standard for the Asset Integrity Engineer.
Ability to train, and or delegate within the support resources available while ensuring timelines and deliverables meet both company and clients' needs and expectations.
Mechanical integrity inspection and analysis, including:
Allowable minimum thickness (T-min) based on applicable codes
Long-term (LT) and short-term (ST) corrosion rate calculations
Maximum allowable operating/working pressure (MAOP/MAWP) determinations
Expected remaining life determinations
Next inspection intervals based off code and jurisdictional mandates
Inspection planning, execution, analysis, assessment, and repair
Repair recommendations and ASME PCC-2 Code repair plans
Corrosion control documentation (CCDs)
Inspection test plan (ITPs) creation
Damage Mechanism Review/Identification (DMRs)
Integrity operating windows (IOWs)
Master equipment list (MEL)
GAP analysis
Inspection data management system (IDMS) provision/facilitation

API 579-1/ASME Fitness-for-service (FFS) Level 1 and Level 2 assessments on the following parts:
Part 3: Existing equipment assessment for brittle fracture

Part 7: Assessment of hydrogen blisters/hydrogen damage associated with HIC and SOHIC
Part 8: Weld misalignment and shell distortion assessment

Part 11: Fire damage assessment
Part 12: Dent, gouge, and dent-gouge combination assessment

Job Qualifications (Minimum)
BSc/BEng in either a Process (Chemical) Engineering, Mechanical, Materials, Corrosion, or Integrity related subject or MSc/MEng in Materials/Corrosion
5+ years' expertise related to Asset Integrity Management
Sound understanding of industry driving codes (API, NACE, AWS, ASME, etc)
Experience with Mechanical Integrity programs and inspection practices
Strong written and spoken communication skills at multiple levels within a large corporation.
Familiarity and working knowledge with multiple IDMS systems of record.
Strong computer skills, (Email, Word, Excel, Power Point)
Ability to prioritize and complete work assignments by specific deadlines
Ability to work under extreme pressure, tight deadlines and constantly shifting priorities due to changes to the original schedule
Ability to manage multiple client relationships and develop win - win outcomes with customers
Experience working on, supervising, or managing field projects
Demonstrated specialized technical knowledge in specific technology related disciplines
Knowledge of Safety, Quality, Financial, Environmental, and Regulatory requirements
Experience reviewing models, P&IDs, Isometrics, and other engineering drawings
Familiarity of multiple CNDT/ANDT NDE/NDT techniques and technologies used to support Asset Integrity
Professional and courteous interface with clients, partners, and other stakeholders
Job Qualifications (Preferred)
American Petroleum Institute Certifications (API 510, 570, 653)
Expert IDMS familiarity
Strong understanding of RBA/RBI development and deployment
Consulting Experience & owner/operation experience
Work Conditions
Position is located at the District or other Support office
Work is conducted in a semi-private office/cubicle setting
Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the core work hours of 9:30 am to 3:30 pm
After hours and weekend support is customary with this role on an as needed basis
