Meet the team:

The Platform Systems, Integration, and Test Team at Latitude is responsible for the design, integration, and testing of all interface functions between the self-driving technology and robotics platform. These functions include motion control, fault handling, HMI, and controls integration, along with the overall vehicle architecture. We specialize in parallelized development of prototype functionality and production designs, enabling all of Latitude to rapidly develop feature intent functionality without incurring significant technical debt.

What you'll do:

  • Perform a mixture of systems, integration, and test engineering as we bring our diagnostics system from prototype implementation to production

  • Work across the product development team, creating strategies and capabilities to diagnose and improve our system fault handling capabilities as it matures

  • Write functional requirements that enable a tightly integrated diagnostics system

  • Work closely with the integration and test engineers at Latitude to develop and execute the Design Verification Plan on benches, simulators, and vehicles

  • Periodically get hands-on with the product and see the designs in action

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related field and 2+ years of relevant experience, Master's degree, or PhD

  • At least 2+ years of experience working in either automotive or robotics engineering, or a related field

  • Experience working in both prototype and production development environments

  • Experience writing functional requirements

Nice to have:

  • Master's Degree with a focus in sensing or perception

  • Familiarity with model-based systems engineering tools (ex: MagicDraw)

  • Familiarity with requirements management tools (ex: Jama)

  • Experience with Python, C++, or other programming skills

  • Experience with autonomous vehicle testing

  • Experience writing safety requirements to meet ISO 26262 or similar standards

The expected base salary range for this full-time position in California is $126,960 - $174,570 USD. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Latitude employees are also eligible to participate in Latitude's annual bonus programs, equity compensation, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.

Candidates for positions with Latitude AI must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is available for this position.
